HATTIESBURG, Miss. -- Former Jets quarterback Brett Favre says he might become a coach or do work as a television analyst in the future, though he has no plans to enter either field anytime soon.

The 41-year-old ended a 20-year playing career after an injury-plagued 2010 season with the Minnesota Vikings after playing the 2008 season for the Jets.

He has been at the center of a sexting scandal involving former Jets gameday hostess Jenn Sterger for the past several months.

The former Southern Mississippi star has famously wavered on retirement over the last few off-seasons, but the three-time NFL Most Valuable Player told WDAM-TV in Hattiesburg on Thursday that he was “starting a new career.”

He submitted his retirement paperwork to the NFL in January.

Favre, in an interview at a football camp at Oak Grove High School, said he’s spent the last several months traveling and following Southern Miss baseball.

He should consider keeping his dick in his pants.

When mentioning Brett Favre how could anyone call him "former Jets QB" ?

Exactly. Guy started in Atlanta, played a millenium in Green Bay, took a dump on the Jets and finished his career in Minnesota. Somehow he's the former Jet's QB. A Hall of fame career and he will always be know for texting his dick to a hostess while playing for the Jets. SAD.

coaching ?

yeah, ya gotta run around, then fire a laser rocket fun ball up for grabs.....lol

... then, if its complete, jump around like yer a kid in the school yard... but if its not complete, immediately wince as though one of your testes was just removed through your nostril, limp around a bit, and do not under any circumstance make eye contact with anyone but the camera.

He should consider keeping his dick in his pants.

For the record, I made this decision years ago and there is ZERO evidence to support the idea that I am any better off having done so.
