And besides, he's not nearly the biggest problem on offense. He made some incredible catches the first 4 weeks to help get us up to this point. While at Jefferson, Dustin was a three sport standout in football, basketball and track. During his senior year at Lafayette Jefferson High School he was the state's leading wide receiver in football, was second team All-State as a small forward in basketball,( in indiana !!!!) and he was the high jump state champion in Indiana. Dustin was expected to sign with the University of Toledo, but when a Purdue recruit committed to another school Dustin received a scholarship offer from his hometown school. His freshman year at Purdue he red-shirted and switched from wide receiver to tight end. After a year of watching, learning and getting stronger, Dustin began to get a lot of time on the field and display his strength and athleticism. So much so, that his senior season at Purdue he was voted Most Valuable Offensive Player in the Motor City Bowl. In addition, his teammates voted him Purdue's Most Valuable Player that same season. But I thought he was horrible. Thats what this thread says. Its weird that he doesnt fall over during his routes, only after he catches it. Must be something about carrying the ball and running at the same time. Thank god he didnt make any big plays for us during the playoff run last year.
