BroadwayJ667
Landry appears to be the best safety available in free agency, however reports have surfaced that he may need achilles surgery - The Washington Post confirms that foot specialists have informed free agent SS LaRon Landry he "needs" Achilles' tendon surgery. The Washington Times had a report on this a few weeks ago. Landry doesn't want to have surgery, and he appears to be taking a sizable risk that rest and rehab will fix the heel problems. It's clearly against doctors' orders. -Rotoworld. Is he worth the risk in your eyes

spjets
The thing I don't understand is why do they wait so long to get surgery. ....if I'm out of post season, I'm getting that surgery to get it over with to be fully healed. ..

He doesn't want it because the rehab is a long process and a lot of work. Also some never recover after achilles surgery. He wants it to heal on its own
CotcheryifyouCan
Not worth the risk. I think Griffin is the top safety available, even though a hobbled Landry is still better than our safeties
Bleedin Green
Landry could have his leg amputated and he would still be a better option than Eric Smith.

sg3
if he needs achilles surgery, he's not going to playing until 2013 so he probably wouldn't be such a hot pickup by anybody for 2012

jbish335
i say yes if can get at a cheaper price for mulitple years were other teams may not go for him with the injury, but would rather go after griffin first.
GhostOfGlennFoley
Agreed. No more stop-gap solutions. Let's draft someone who will be with the team long-term.
