It looks like the Pats win in this big fiasco still

Brady would have been paid 1,800,000 for four games and the fine is for only 1,000,000. Guess what, they now save $800,000. This is the Pats, they probably will be 2-2 or 3-1 for those four games, nothing bad with that. In addition the draft picks aren't as bad for them, because a lot of their picks they do better with later round guys they pick anyway.

With that said:

If Geno has made the turn that he started to show at the end of last season the Jets could be a 10 win team now. Hope for Geno, hope for the least amount of team injuries, and hope Bowles can be a head coach.

Remember that's, head coach.

I like how you just presume they will go 3-1 without their Hall of Fame QB when they were 2-2 last year (with wins over the lowly Raiders and Vikings). What if they go 0-4? What if they go 1-3? What if brady is a little rusty when he comes back and they lose to the Colts and go 1-4 or 0-5? You still think the couple of bucks Kraft saved will make him happy? The guy is worth 4 billion dollars he wipes his a$$ with a million dollars.

The suspension is a big fuc&^&ing deal whether you want to find clever ways around it or not.

My guess is 1-3 and at best 2-2.

Garrapolo will struggle against a good Steelers defense for his first start. and I don't think they will win in Dallas. They should beat Jacksonville. The tossup is the Bills game.

Of course what nobody is talking about is when Brady come back, will he be rusty?

Exactly.  Everyone talks about how he finished this past season and how it could parlay into a nice 3rd season, ignoring that after his play at the end of his rookie year people were saying the exact same thing, then in '14 he sucked for the first 12 or 13 games once again.  He's not taking steps forward, he's giving people false hope.  The worst kind of QB there is.

Anyways, the Pats most definitely do not win in all of this.  Because if they have success next year, everyone will assume they're finding new and improved ways to cheat.  And rightfully so.  Anyone who was giving them the benefit of the doubt after Spygate isn't doing so anymore unless they're delusional Pats fans.

Losing organizatiional credibility to the entire country and parking a permanent cloud of suspicion over your four championships...not what most would call winning.

They can keep their $800K - small solace for a permanently ruined reputation.

Stealers lost a lot of talent on defense during the offseason, I still think they will beat the pats because the pats defense is ugly right now as well. Bills are going to obliterate the Patriots though, Rex is good at getting to a young inexperienced QB and that game is going to be a nightmare for Garrapolo.

This is a win if they didn't want to play and pay Brady.

If they start 1-3 and miss the playoffs by a game they'll lose No way they go 3-1

the Pats won 4 rings and got caught cheating twice while doing it.

you're damn right the Pats win. No one's taking away their trophies or rings.

If the Jets won 1 SB they could suspend the whole team for the next whole year who would care. We'd still have the parade and everything.

That's what I'm thinking, just win another SB. Forget about Brady and put all thoughts towards a great year and win the Super Bowl. I hope people haven't forgotten how long ago it was the Jets won a SB. The winning here is not what to happens Brady, thats not winning the SB. Like you said, win the SB and go 0-16 the next season it would be worth it.
