Jets got 3 first round "talents"

NO. Not when the player drafted has IDENTICAL size and physical attributes as Vilma. Like I said, Lee and Vilma might as well be looking in a f*cking mirror. It's garbage as far as I am concerned. I'll believe this shrimp can do something for this defense only when I see it. But honestly, right now I think we're looking at a BUST.

It depends if he can shed guards or not. Yes it is Vilma part 2 if he doesn't.

Lee is the player everyone wanted except they have forgotten it. We suck at covering TEs, RBs and making plays in space within 10 yards of the line of scrimmage. Guy can cover, rush the passer and cover lots of ground in a hurry. Maybe the most well rounded lb available this year.

Hackenberg is a HUGE question mark. But his "talent" is not arguable. Sky is the limit, etc.

Jenkins was the Georgia LB in the first round before his "pass rushing specialist" teammate shot up boards. I'm really happy he fell into our laps.

Discuss.

2 OUT OF THREE IS NOT BAD. HACKENBERG SHOULD OF BEEN PICKED IN THEW FOURTH.

Hackensackme a "first round talent"?

Lol, gotta love Draft Day homer optimism.

As opposed to Herman Munster Lynch drafted in the 1st round where everyone bows their head to Elway who has yet to draft a franchise QB and signed Sanchez. I'm with HACKENBERG and yes I'm a homer.

Nothing wrong with being a homer.  I'm actually surprised that after years and years filled with mediocrity and failure that there are any homers left!  A little optimism is necessary, especially when deep down you know that at some point down the road, you are going to be smashed in the face with disappointment.

Granted Coach Westoff doesn't have the football knowledge of the JN wizards but last night on Jet nation draft edition he explained how Lee will be used in Boles defense. It was pretty impressive to watch but then again maybe Westoff would be better off reading JN so he could get a clue about football..;)

I saw that too. I thought it was a great piece. Arizona had/has similar sized LB's as Lee and they were/are very productive. They also used a 211 pound safety at LB last year and he played great. Not all 3-4's are the same. Some are one gap and some are two gap. Bowles runs a one gap, like Pittsburgh which does not require every LB to be huge. Theoretically in a one gap any LB can be assigned to any gap and the scheme can protect smaller gap busters like Lee. They dont have to stand up the OL in a one gap and throw the OL to the side like in a two gap. Just because a DL is even (2, 4, 6 DL, etc) or odd (3, 5, DL, etc) doesn't mean they have the same type of gap responsibility and technique. Lee is gonna be a total mismatch for offenses. This is huge since the Pats added another TE. I also feel like the Pats grabbed the QB in the third to add another wrinkle to their spread by running some read option. We will see though. Its the first QB like this that BB has had. I think BB is smart enough to know that his spread BS with two TE's isn't gonna be that easy against us this season. Just my humble opinion tho.

Both of the Panthers middle linebackers, Kuechly, and Davis are about the same size as Lee and they went to the Super Bowl.  Good thing nobody told them they weren't big enou!

It is that time of year. Every lottery ticket is still a potential winner.

I would rather have done the O line before the LB corps because they might take a little longer but this way works too.
