The 1990 draft was pretty bad also, and it was the first for the vastly overrated Dick Steinberg
Ex-Rex
In no draft did the Jets miss on more Hall of Fame players and have the least to show for 16 rounds than 1967. First rounder was a 220 pound offensive lineman named Paul Seiler from Notre Dame. Not only did he never play a down he didn't make it through training camp. Meanwhile HOF ers on the board included Alan Page, Seiler's teammate at Notre Dame, Gene Upshaw, CB Lem Barney and LB Willie Lanier. The only two to make the Jets were DT John Elliott and guard Randy Rasmussen. 1968 was spectacularly bad as well with the team getting no starters and missing out on Curley Culp, Ken Stabler, DE Elvin Bethea and Art Shell. Other good players that year - not taken by the Jets include - Jim Kiick, Dick Anderson, George Atkinson, DE Tommy Hart and TE Bob Trumpy.
