Bergen Jet
This move make sense for the Giants. It gives Eli another big target and is a definate upgrade to a WR unit that got real old real fast.
Barton
I could have sworn we had better cap space to start the offseason than the giants did just 3 weeks ago antonio pierce, kareem mckenzie, plaxico burress

Not only that, it looks like the Giants got him on the cheap as well.
TomShane
Guarantee that he doesn't make it to Year Three of that deal. Plaxico and Coughlin is a match made in hell.
Maxman
Plaxico didn't get what he thought he would. But it will be interesting to see if Coughlin can turn him around. He has the talent. His head is the question. Hopefully the Giants can throw the whole playbook at him unlike what the Steelers had to do.
axpspot
They didn't have much choice in the matter to sign a WR considering they have no first round pick ...
Maxman
They didn't have much choice in the matter to sign a WR considering they have no first round pick ... AX...good point. But in fairness if the Giants did have a 1st round pick, they would just screw it up anyway!
TomShane
It's sad to see Mara throwing so much money around. It looks like the old man is taking one last shot before the final gun in the sky goes off. IMO, they spent tons of dough and the team is only marginally better. 4HCrew
Sometimes guys like Plaxico flourish under a guy like Coughlin...see KJ with Parcells. I think Giants did a very nice job so far in the offseason...including getting Feeley.

Blackout
WAHOO!! 8) this is huge toomer-burris-shockey catching passes, tiki running, Supermanning at QB, a mildly improved offensive line and some good FA pickups on defense the giants might be able to finish around 8-8 if they play their cards right, should be fun to watch 8)

124
Very good pick up by the Giants. I wouldn't be surprised to see the Giants make it in as a Wild Card team next year if that offensive line and Strahan can stay healthy and Shockey can catch the ball. Rob D
I could have sworn we had better cap space to start the offseason than the giants did just 3 weeks ago Firstly, they recently cut two players. Secondly, Burress will only count around $1.5m to $2m against the cap this year.
