GERMAN SUSPENDED 81 GAMES! Ouch!

He's not appealing, he must have done something.

It's odd, there was no police report or anything, and no one really knows what he did.   That being said, even as a Yankee fan, if you do something like that, you deserve to be punished severely.  81 games, half a season missed without pay.   I hope some other people see this, and think twice before doing something stupid in the heat of the moment.

I despise the Yankees. There is nothing I enjoy more in sports then watching them fail to buy championships every year.

It's going to be great seeing Cole get lit up in the playoffs this year while their fans look on with broken hearts. Again.

Any owner can spend money, and pay the luxury tax, no?

They all don't have the revenue the Yankees do, thanks to being in the New York market..

How can you compare the Yankees "ability to pay" to lets say Tampa Bay or Pittsburgh, or Colorado?

Obviously not.

MLB needs what the NFL has, a hard salary cap.

A salary floor would be good too.

The Yankees would be worth nothing without the rest of MLB to play against.  Teams shouldn't have competitive advantage in a sport because of their market.

If you are going to do that, then you need to have total revenue sharing. Not going to happen.
