Trading Adams and taking a defensive player with the #1 and #3 would make me punch a baby. Hard.

Wirfs and Biadasz would be pretty close to the equivalent of our Ferguson/Mangold draft.  Count me in for that.

But yeah, I'd take a WR over an EDGE.  Not taking a WR until the 4th would be inexcusable, whether we bring back Robby or not.

I still applaud the effort on threads like these.

Ferguson/Mangold were day 1 starter, 10 year probowl caliber players. Calling two completely unproven guys who haven't even been drafted yet alone played a down pretty close to the equivalent sounds crazy to me. You can't just expect that sh*t.

Draft picks are very valuable but I think a lot of people severely over rate them.

Laughing at the compensation being too little, or the idea that someone would give us that?

Seems like way too much imo. Dallas still has to pay like 5 different studs and would have to pay Jamal. There’s a 0% chance they’re giving us 4 picks as well. We’re quick to forget the team getting Adams also has to pay him so having said that I think we’ll be lucky to get a 1 and a 2 for him

Jamal Adams will not be traded.  Dream destroyed.  As much as Tom hates him,  he is the face of the franchise,  even in front of Sam.  They will keep him and he will play out his Rookie contract and eventually franchised. The Jets own him for 2 more years and can franchise tag him in year 6.  Offense all day long in this draft.  Defense will be just fine if the offense can score points.

I'm saying it would be an equivalent to mimicking the '06 draft as much as possible.

I think people underrate draft picks around here.  Mostly because Macc was always f**king them up.  Like it or not, you have to depend on a whole lot of unknowns to succeed in this league.
