JoJoTownsell1
So last night with the niners up 21 with seconds left in the game, Shanahan was goofing around on the sidelines as he sent out his starters, including his breakout rookie RB, to rack up more yards on the rams to make a "statement "

harris5214
Saleh doesn’t even know what it’s like to be up 7 points in the first quarter let alone 21 in the 4th Sent from my iPhone using JetNation.com mobile app 2
Drums
I think there was a point the 9ers went for it on 4th down up like 20 points and scored a TD. I get the whole “stop them if you don’t like it” mentality but that was still douchey.
BornJetsFan1983
what Buffalo did was also just as bad. We should have stopped them but damn it sucked
jeremy2020
1. Many of these teams have their own issues they need to work out. The 49ers, for example, haven't had a lot of time with all of their starters together. So these games where they are blowing out an opponent are a good opportunity for them to keep working on things and 'get right' for their next games. 2. Many teams understand that what they do in this game is going to be viewed by other teams. So it behooves them to run plays and make future opponents prepare for those things. For example, the Bills were up and ran a bunch of two TE sets. Now teams have to prepare for two TE sets from the Bills who previously operated heavily in 11 personnel. 3. All Gas, No Brakes. I'm pretty sure all of you understand the inherent dangers of taking your foot off the gas. Also, what's the point the team that stopped playing can start again? Is it 20 points? 14 points? Why would they risk it? So the concern of "embarrassing" some coach they may or may not have ever even met before has to fall pretty low on their list of worries. JohnnyLV
Stupid first post but the reputation Shanahan has is completely unwarranted. More excuses are made for why he fails than any other coach.
