OMA
Not being from the immediate tri state area I was curious what the talk, if any, about hosting the World Cup final and what renovations including grass fields would be needed. I saw some seating changes today but realistically think NY/NJ hosting the final over LA or Dallas (Arlington) is a long shot. Bugg
The World Cup requires a grass field. They had a tray system in place in 1994 at Giants Stadium and tried to keep it going for a few seasons. But it got chewed up pretty bad with 16 NFL games plus exhibitions. As the trays got chewed up, swapped out new pieces of sod. Haven't heard what the plan is yet, but there's no way you can play 90+ minutes of nonstop soccer on an artificial turf in June and July in New Jersey without having players practically melt. Even corrupt FIFA won't allow it. 1

Pretty sure they have a mandate of some sort. No, not a Man Date. That's different.
Fantasy Island
They took bribes for the last one. Metlife is good enough. And you can serve beer. No backwater laws in Jersey.
JoeNamathsFurCoat
Every major European league plays on real grass like football was meant to be played. It takes an a—hole like Woody Johnson to not give a sh-t about his players dropping like flies on his freaking cement playing surface.
