Rodgers hasnt played well narrative is silly

Recommended Posts

An offense  who cannot run the ball for Jack is wasting the first two plays of every drive and immediately putting the entire operation behind the 8 ball. Lazard is dropping any ball that’s directly in his grasp. Receivers like Gipson are continuing their go routes up field when Rodgers is anticipating back shoulder. It’s a very complex mix of issues that’s deeper than “Aaron Rodgers sucks now”. It’s just a lazy analysis and quite frankly the cheap ammo people who hated him before the trade were craving for. He had his worst game of the season against Minnesota, there’s no denying that. Let’s see what happens with a shakeup in offensive philosophy, if they’re still stale by Week 9 I’ll concede.

If they’re still stale by week 9, nobody will care whether you concede or not. 😂

I've seen enough of Rodgers to know what we have. He is teetering on still having it and starting to lose it. A middling Rodgers is by far the best QB we had since Fitzpatrick's aberration year. We don't need him to prime ARod. We need an adult game plan, better blocking schemes, and creative play calling. This defense can be dangerous defending a lead or tied up.

We also need him not throwing it 96 times, getting sacked 8 times and only running for 74 yards combined the last 2 games.

He’s on pace for like 28 13 and 3,700 yards and that is playing against the top 5 best defenses in the NFL and one game in a rain storm. Mind you these are his first 5 games in over a year and half and the run game and OL have sucked.

These would be the worst or on par with the worst season in his career.

He is part of the reason the run game has sucked. He hasn't helped the o line much either. How is a 20 year vet getting hit by untouched blind side sacks without calling the free runner at the line or feeling the pressure.

Again you are judging a 5 game sample size against the very best defenses, his first five games in a year and a half with a new team. And no, he isn’t the reason the run game sucks the run game was better last year with less talent same coaching and Zach Wilson

Hes playing like sh*t, he has to stop audible out of every play for a back shoulder throw.

Go rewatch, he misses wide open receivers at least 3 times a game.

^This.  He has been painful to watch.  Jets did not get what they paid for so far. Not even close.  OP has no clue what he is watching.

You think Rodgers is going to improve as the weather gets worse?

And yes he is a reason. He is changing plays at the line and doing audibles into runs up the gut and the defenses are keyed onto it.

The OL still doesn't understand the blocking scheme. With the exception of Fashanu, this is a veteran group who still don't know which direction to block. Coaching has been horrendous.

Aaron Rodgers has been mid at best. We’ll see if firing Saleh somehow galvanizes the offense, but there needs to be changes on that side of the ball.

Quite frankly he’s being paid mid. So that’s what we should expect.

One of the most accurate QB's in NFL history is currently ranked 26th in completion percentage.
Look at the play throughout the O and tell me any QB could be better with that kind of trash. OL, WRa , RBs

Nice post.  I'd add that IIRC AR8 has a hx of distain re: rookie WR's.  He is a great QB as long as his WR's get to the exact spot on the field that they are suppose to get to.  So far this season GW has been a case in point.

Between this, O penalites, and drops, I've been pulling my hair out.   Saleh had no answers so it's good that he's gone.  Next man up.....

Rodgers doesn’t pass the eye test.  He gets every opportunity to have it his way and he sucks.  The OL was built by JD.  The coaches on O were hired by Saleh.

Saleh is gone, hallelujah.  Rodgers now has a couple weeks while we are still  in it to figure it out.  If not then Saleh’s staff will meet the same fate.

There is your accountability.
