faba
My trepidation with Trachsel was well justified- he was a farce all year with his record- the Mets scored so many runs when he pitched.
Maxman
Traschel took that honor last night. Perez can dominate but also be terrible so we will see. Same for Reyes. Mets need to win one game in St. Louis and then beat Carpenter again in game 6 at Shea to force a game 7. Tall order but I like us if we can get the series to 7 games. Well if they can pull this one off today it changes everything. That is the cool thing about the postseason. The momentum changes very fast! The Mets pen is rested other than Oliver (hey why didn't they save him and start him today?)

Max, I think they used him now so they can start him in Game 7, if necesarry, because there is no way Trachsel makes another appearance in this series. Oliver Perez tonight, Glavine Monday night, Maine Wednesday night, and pray for rain on Thursday.
NJ
My trepidation with Trachsel was well justified- he was a farce all year with his record- the Mets scored so many runs when he pitched. The guy's an azzwipe. They had to hold him out of games so he didn't lose 20 with the Cubs in 99 and he was running down any reporter that would talk to him trying to cop a plea on no run support. As he's sitting there with a 6 point. Dildonis. C'mon Mets!!!!! Beat those friken birdies.
GimmeShelter
If I am Larussa and the Cards go up 3-1 tonight, I go with Carpenter at home and try and seal the deal. I think Perez comes up big tonight though.
JetCane
11-3 MIDDLE OF 6 YOU GOTTA BELIEVE Jim Edmonds just made an unbelievable catch. IMO he is the best baseball player on that team, and has been for a while.

Latinlawyer
Yipper! Game 7, all of the marbles. This game will define this team no matter what they did in the regular season. Overall, this season has been a success but a WS would be icing on the Mets cake. There is no doubt which team is the most exciting in NYC, It has to be the mets. This year was a lil reminiscent of 1986. The only difference is that the 86 pitching staff was amazing and the 2006 pitching staff is blah.. Jetsfan80
LETS GO METS! We need this guy to come up HUGE tonight and we need to score in the first inning, tall order but YOU GOTTA BELIEVE BABY! The game is in the hands of the bullpen moreso than Perez in many ways. If Perez gives us 3 decent innings, we're happy. Darren Oliver followed by the rest of the pen will have to take care of the rest.
JetCane
True, but i feel like the first three innings will set the tone for the rest of the game. It would be great to get off to a good start. YA GOTTA BELIEVE!
