war ensemble
I lurk at the same place! Sometimes I post there but I just lurk more often than not. I just look at it for news and such, and to see what other fans think, but I'll probably end up signing up some day. It's a really organized board, especially for how big it is. It's a really organized board, especially for how big it is. Yeah it's a good board, it's nice to have a place where everybody's a big hockey fan. I was posting there during the playoffs and what bugs me is that they are pretty tight-assed over there and I got in trouble for a couple posts over there that nobody would blink an eye at over here. Gainzo
I think my brother used to post (or at least lurk) at bigfooty, I don't know if he still does. bigfooty is a huge site. Aussie Rules is #1, but they have Rugby, Soccer, Cricket, etc forums as well as all kinds of non sports forums. I wouldn't be surprised if it was the most popular messageboard in Australia. JetCane
I go on two Canes boards. One is an offshoot of the original main Canes board (on scout) and the other is a spinoff of the spinoff site. The past two weeks they have been having major board wars, to which I am a spectator. It's been entertaining, but I cant wait for the off-season to end so everyone will talk about football again. mbn007
http://nykfanpage.com/ I like this one best for NY Knicks stuff, but there are several posters who are unreal fools. You have to read some of the trade proposals that pop up often during the season. "One-Sided" is an understatement. http://www.newyorkrangers.com I think this is the best site for NY Rangers information. But for hockey stuff in general, I like the previously mentioned hfboards.com . I never registered there, but it seems that this site always has the most up-to-date news on anything Hockey. www.Rangerfancentral.com/ is a very solid site also for Rangers stuff. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/ This is a solid news site. I can't stand some of the columnists, but in general there is solid stuff here. All sports leagues covered. http://www.baseball-reference.com/ Excellent baseball stat site. Has a long history of data. http://minors.baseball-reference.com/ Site is run by the same folks as above. This one deals with the Minors, and while it is not as extensive as the Major League site, and doses not have the historical data, there is plenty here. I also go to the team sites for each of the teams that I am looking for information on, including the Minor League teams. While many sites are not as developed, or not as informative as others, there are usually interesting tidbits available. Finally, I read up some of the local papers in the cities that my teams are playing in. This is especially great during a playoff series, where you can follow day-to-day rantings for a period of time.
Jetsfan80
www.caazone.com I get all my information about UNC Wilmington (UNCW) Seahawk sports here. It also has info on the conference they play in, the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) and its 12 members (including George Mason, Old Dominion, VCU, Hofstra, etc.)
crackbackblock
NYYfans.com is an excellent Yankee site. I've checked that board out. Like the stands at the Trop, it's pretty dead. Yeah pretty much. I don't post there but I read the news and read what others think. But since my wife is there and I have friends there as well so I usually hear about things before they get released or leaked to 620. My wife gets two freebies for every prime game and four freebies for the others. PM me if you want to go to one of the Yanks games coming up. I should be able to hook you. These are usually good seats as well. No outfield or upper deck. The tickets are usually lower level, close to first or third base and about 10-20 rows up. A fried went this weekend and the tickets were right behind home plate just beyond the Kane's Club seats. We won't be using all of the game tickets.
