I was right... the Falcons pussied out... and placed the blame for doing so on the NFL... what a shame... cut his ass

They didn't really pussy out, they said they even drafted the letter for his suspension. They were really just being rational and following orders from Goodell, which can you blame them? Its a very explosive situation and it really isn't the right moment for Blank to turn into a cowboy. Its Goodells job, let him take the responsibility for what is going to happen.

pussies. Guy is gonna collect 8 million plus some big bonus money, while his team is now screwed. At this point, you are giving up a ton of money for a player who won't step on field this year, has a good possibility of doing 1-6 years in jail, and even if he gets off will still be away from the game from 1/07 to 9/08. Plus, no matter what happens in court, he has been exposed as a low character guy, so he is a huge liability. The best thing to do would be to cut him and sign someone like CPep and wait until the draft and free agency after the season to rebuild. With a new coach, this isn't such a bad thing. Besides, it isn't like they have been able to figure out how to use Vick very effectively anyway, and he isn't manning/brady/palmer/bulger.

thats a good point I wonder if CPep will go to Atlanta now
