The Manginius comes through with a great game plan

Why is it Mangini gets credit for the Defensive game plan, Sutton does not, yet Schotty Jr gets the blame for a bad offensive game plan, yet Mangini gets a pass.

They had a great defensive game... The offense, besides that one TD, was not that impressive yet again. KC made some plays, TJ ran for 100 yards, yet the offense still can't score TDs.

Defensively, the gameplan was great.

Offensively, I think Schotty called a pretty crappy game.

schott is basically bringing a knife to a gunfight every week. bad o-line, very limited wide receivers, and a 2nd year qb in his 3rd start. all things considered i thought schott did ok...not great but far from "pretty crappy"

Someone should tell you they were going up against the NFL's best defense you can't go in there thinking "yea were gonna put up 40 points" Good defenses can keep other teams out of the endzone. Getting 19 points against that defense is very good.

And only the fourth team to score that many off the #1 defense

Checkmate.

The 49ers scored 16 points against the Steelers Defense.. The 49ers don't score 10 points most of the time..

The Steelers defense is good, but allowing 31 points to the Broncos, 28 or whatever to the Browns, 21 to the Cardinals isn't the Ravens or Bears defense of yesteryear.

The Steelers defense is good, but why is it that we hear the same excuse week after week from people... "But it was against this team....or that team or it's Chad's fault or KC is a rookie" blah blah blah...

Eventually you come to the conclusion that maybe the Jets offense sucks and Schotty Jr isn't that good of an OC.

The OL needs further building. You cannot fix a entire team in 1.5 seasons.

They drafted 3 players on the OL... If it takes 10 years to build a good OL, then they can't evaluate talent. 2 first round picks and a 6th round pick and the OL still stinks, kind of means your GM and coaching staff aren't evaluating talent properly. Or maybe they aren't putting players in the right places.

Our OL is no better than it was in 2005. And half that team was injured. So yeah it takes longer than a couple years to build, but so far, they are no better than they were in 2005. So at this point, what are they building? When you take DBrick at 4 and Mangold at 29, your OL should be better than it was 2 seasons ago. Yet it is not.

And the OL wasn't the problem today. TJ still ran for 117 yards and KC wasn't sacked 7 times. Yet they still couldn't score. Maybe it's time to say Coles and Cotchery aren't great WRs. At least not top ones. Or maybe Schotty Jr is more like his father than we realized.
