haggis
So it is the 9th and the Rays look to be winning 2 straight against my Sox. Are the Rays for real?? They are playing with a swagger right now. Surely they can't keep it going for another 82+ games!!

shawn306
Most teams will go through a stretch where they lose 10 of 12 or maybe go through a month 8-20 or 9-19. Rays haven't hit that stretch yet. Somewhere along the line though. How they respond to that stretch will pretty much tell you if they are for real or not. They have looked great though all season and deserve all the props they can get right now.
Garb
Ray ARE the real deal - and they have the worst fanbase in baseball. What is it with Tampa? Is the whole area full of dumbasses?
124
The Rays have the best pitching staff in all of Baseball, or at least the best 1-4, IMO. That and small ball will win you plenty of games. They have finally arrived and are here to stay. Scott Kazmir --- 7-3, 2.28 Jamie Shields --- 6-5, 3.70 (3 complete games) Matt Garza --- 7-4, 3.47 (1 complete game) Andy Sonnanstine --- 9-3, 4.60 (1 complete game) Keep in mind that all four are very young and are locked up for a long time with the organization. harris5214
From what i hear they have one of the best farm systems in the MLB at this point and had the number 1 pick in the draft the last 2 years, so yes i`d say there for real and here to say.
