Larz
http://www.fannation.com/?eref=sinav&eref=fromSI NFL: Brady will do Pats no favors 07:52 AM ET 06.08 | Tom Brady, who has probably earned the leverage in negotiating, chose not to end the whispers. "Things happen, some are out of your control. You just gotta go with the flow." -- [brady] on his contract talks with the Patriots. The Patriots quarterback had the chance to put all speculation to rest, to nip all concern in the bud, to ensure there was no disconnect at all between him and the Patriots. He opted not to. He chose his words carefully and delicately, and he consequently made it astonishingly clear that he is not likely to do the Patriots any favors this time. looks like the classy pats* are ready to dump pretty boy what do you guys think of making a play for him ? the jets need a veteran back-up

Bruce Banner
Brady has done the Pats enough favors already in terms of salary. Its time for the Pats to pay him. And if they are crazy enough to get rid of him then the joke will be on them. The change the Pats need to make isn't at QB, its putting someone good in charge of the draft. Maxman
I am in Boston this week and this seems to be a pretty big story. A Brady-less Patriots, bring it on!
slats
Brady turns 33 this summer. This next deal could very well be his last chance to make the big bucks. His family lives on the west coast. He grew up a 49ers fan, and the 49ers might be a Tom Brady away from regaining their former lofty status. Should be interesting.
THE ILK
He won't be a backup.
penguini 15
You ACTUALLY think he's going anywhere?! ...and how could you think we could go for him with the contract situations we already have..and then if we pulled it off, have him as a BACKUP?! dear god.. PatriotReign37
looks like the classy pats* are ready to dump pretty boy Nah, they wont pull a Thomas Jones on Brady. Comments Kraft made to reporters in March at the NFL owner meetings in Orlando about a potential Brady extension: "Great things happen in life if you're flexible and not rigid. (Brady - Go with the flow ) ... We're balancing a lot of different factors in an unknown environment. We're not sleeping. It's just complicated." Boston Globe: Ktaft: "Let's put it like this, Tom Brady is going to be a part of this franchise. He wants to be. We want him. Great things in life happen if you're flexible and not rigid. We have to find a way to satisfy him and the team, and have a team that can win, big-time. That's what it's about. So we're balancing a lot of different factors in an unknown environment. So we're not sleeping. It's just complicated, and it's complicated for everybody. We hope we do a satisfactory job. But we'll figure it out one way or the other." Jetfan13
[quote name='Brady has no respect for the Jets and would never play for the second fiddle football team in NY. Giants? Yes.[/quote'] Neither did Jason Taylor....but we don't want him anyway, hell, he couldn't make this juggernaut team....

He's saying all the right things to pacify the fans, but he's also leaving himself an out if Brady's demanding too much money in what will likely be his last NFL contract. The Colts have said that they're going to make Peyton the highest paid player in the league, and estimates have his next deal in the $20M/year range. Brady's going to want similar money, and he'll be able to get it if the Pats let him get to the end of this contract. If Brady walks, I'd expect Belichick to resign as HC of the NEP before he gets exposed as the average coach he's been in all his years without Brady.
