Recommend New York Jets teammates D'Brickashaw Ferguson and Vernon Gholston were passengers in the car that Jets WR Braylon Edwards drove when police arrested him on suspicion of drunken driving early Tuesday

Edwards was released from custody late Tuesday afternoon after appearing in court on a charge of drunken driving. He did not comment as he left court.

A judge did not impose bail, and Edwards is due back in court on Nov. 10.

Police said they arrested Edwards after stopping his car at about 5:15 a.m. ET. They alleged he had bloodshot eyes and a blood-alcohol level of .16, twice the legal limit.

GM Mike Tannenbaum scolded Edwards in a statement after his arrest. Tannenbaum said he was "disappointed" in Edwards and prepared to impose discipline on him.

Anyone who thinks the Jets would trade for Vincent Jackson because of Edwards' DWI is FREAKIN' IMBECILE.

Seriously. Vincent Jackson is subject to a 3 game suspension because of violating the conduct policy.

Jackson has TWO DUI ARRESTS, and was arrested for driving with a suspended license (which led to his suspension).

Not to mention, Jackson's representation are the same two a-holes who kept Revis out of camp.
