(152nd overall) Twitter: @J_Harrison51 From the small town of Navasota, Texas, Harrison stayed close to home in choosing to play his college football at Texas A&M where he would display blue-chip ability at times in playing both guard positions as well as left tackle for two contests as a senior. After offensive tackle German Ifedi suffered a knee injury in 2014, Harrison slid over to left tackle for two games, one of which was against the nation’s top pass-rusher, Shane Ray of Missouri. Despite yielding a sack to Ray, Harrison’s performance was solid overall, given his inexperience on the outside. He was a key member of an offensive line that produced one of the nation’s best offenses as the Aggies were fifth in the county in yards and sixth in scoring in 2014. Some scouts have questioned Harrison’s work ethic, but there isn’t much debate regarding his physical ability as one NFL scouting director told NFL.com that despite the concerns, Harrison is a pro-bowl caliber player who the Jets rolled the dice on with their 5th round pick (152 overall). Harrison will need some seasoning, but some analysts, including Gil Brandt, also of NFL.com, feel he could become an NFL left tackle over time. JetBlue
I would love to have a Guard Tandem of Carpenter and Harrison if not this year, than by next. The guy looks and plays like a true beast; if he is properly motivated, he can anchor that spot for years to come.
Tinstar
The interesting thing about Harrison is that the A&M OL improved at Pass blocking when OGbuehi got injured and Harrison was moved to LT. It was reported that Ogbuehi was not having his best year at LT after moving there from the RT position he started at while Mathews was the LT . I would really like to see what this kid Harrison could do at LT. He run blocks like a run away freight train.

RT or LT, I think this kid is going to be a beast; especially in the run game; has very quick, nimble feet which should also help him in pass protection. EM31
I love this time of year. Everyone is a diamond in the rough with almost unlimited upside.
#27TheDominator
Thought if they were grooming him outside it would be for the right. Giacomini is probably gone for 2016
Mavericknyc1980
We have a lot of Guard prospects, would love Harrison to developed to one of the tackle spots.
Ghost
I love this time of year. Everyone is a diamond in the rough with almost unlimited upside. Until they play a snap in pre-season. Let's see this guy play a couple snaps before we predict whether or not he will be playing LT in a couple seasons.
