JiFtheOracle
I agree with the OP. The Pats will dominate in their 3RB, 2TE, 4WR set. We don't have an answer for that. Its a unique package. Teams just dont know what to do when only 1 offensive linemen take the field.
HessStation
While many may think the Patriots are reeling ... I can tell you they are not. I've been watching the game of football for far too long and can tell you that a team with their pedigree, leadership along with that legendary headcoach and quarterback duo, are not at all reeling and far from it. All of a sudden, the team looses two games decided by a TD or less and they are reeling? Has everyone lost their minds? This team obviously had some valleys during their season but with all the transitions, personnel changes on defense, and great defenses they have faced ... they were still in plenty of positions to win those games, and you have to think that with all of that adversity has only increased their experience, knowledge and growth in areas needed. Lets remember, we are talking about one of the greatest if not the greatest Quarterback in the history of football when he hangs his cleats up for the last time along with his Hall of Fame coach who I don't think will lie down in any situation, especially after two tough losses, and a divisional opponent coming up where steaks are extremely high. You know they embrace that challenge. And when philosophies are put out about stopping them, well things like "clamp down on Wes Welker, and key in on the Tight Ends and you win." Well, not exactly true, its all on their defense. Because as good as some defensive stars maybe .. Wes is just as good, and will get open. It's going to happen, like the sun will rise and the moon will shine. It's inevitable, he is that awesome and fun to watch. And those two towers of terror at Tightend, they make their plays at will as well. Like I said again, its all on the Patriot defense. By the way, will Chad Ochocinco have a breakout game? because if he does and I have a feeling he will sooner then later then you absolutely have to respect him and his ability to cremate your secondary. But then how do you account for everyone else? Because #85 turned up won't be singled. Then there is Danny Woodhead, who is getting very healthy for the first time all this season. Not to mention the return of Kevin Faulk, the best 3rd Down back in the NFL. And speaking of third downs, Deion Branch is still a very good player who excels at getting those must need yards to keep the chains moving. But just in case thats not enough, what if they decide to get the young elusive Julian Edelman involved, who can look real good in the slot. I've heard plenty of talk lately that they will. Ultimately, there are plenty of tools in the old bag of tricks for Belichick and his staff to use. And certainly Tom and staff will open things up and bring the entire army to the air again. AND DO NOT FORGET ABOUT THE RUN, IT WILL KILL YOU IF YOU. So lesson in short, there is simply no magic known to keeping their team under 17 because it simply won't happen. Pittsburgh is the only team that succeeded, and it was exactly 17 points and thats only because Tom and that offense was barely on the field. So remain humble about the game and look forward to a good one. OMG I have a new favorite poster!!!

Pittsburgh is the only team that succeeded, and it was exactly 17 points and thats only because Tom and that offense was barely on the field. So remain humble about the game and look forward to a good one. ' You can't tell die hard football fans, that a team that's lost consecutive games with the NFL's worst ranked defense "isn't" reeling. What "pedigree" are you speaking of, or even referring to? Stop living in the past with this current NE football team. The Patriots haven't won a super bowl since 2004. That was 7 years ago. Alot can chance in 7 years, and trust me, in regards to the New England Patriots... Alot has changed over the past 7 years. This current team, no longer has a championship pedigree. Belichick and Brady haven't been able to win a championship since players such as Corey Dillon, Patrick Pass, Tim Brown, David Givens, Dan Koppen, Stephen Neal, Richard Seymour, Ty Warren, Banta-Cain, Teddy Bruschi, Larry Izzo, Ted Johnson, Roman Phifer, Mike Vrabel, Terrell Buckley, Randall Gay, Rodney Harrison, Ty Law, Asante Samuel etc, etc all left the team. That was 7 years ago. Let's not forget about Adam Vinatieri either. A matter of fact, there isn't a single player on NE's current roster outside of Brady, Branch, Faulk and Wilfork (rookie season) that's ever won a super bowl. So please, stop trying to act as if NE's current (key word being current) roster has been filled with winners, especially considering the fact that most of these NE players have never even won a single playoff game. You can blame that on the fact that the Patriots haven't won a playoff game since 2007. In 2008 you all failed to make the playoffs. In 2009 you all got beat down, at home in NE, by the hands of the Ravens. And last year you all got beat down, at home in NE, by the hands of the Jets. Players such as Solder, Vollmer, Wendell, Thomas, Edelman, Gronkowski, Hernandez, Green-Ellis, Ridley, Slater, Price, Underwood, Vereen, Hoyer, Mallett, Love, Tarpinian, Mayo, Spikes, Guyton, Ninkovich, McCourty, Warren, Chung, Arrington, Adams, Brown, Molden, Deaderick, Aiken, Mesko, Koutouvides, White, Cunningham and Brace have never even won a single playoff game throughout their careers! So, this makes for 35 players on NE's current 50 man roster (should be 52 sometime soon), that has NEVER won a single playoff game? Laughable. Also, lets not forget, that players such as Carter, Anderson, Ellis, Ihedigbo, Waters, Woodhead and Ochocinco have yet to win a playoff game with the Patriots. This creates for a situation, where 42 of 50 current Patriots not named Brady, Welker, Wilfrok, Branch, Light, Mankins, Faulk and Gostkowski have yet to win a single playoff game under a Patriots uniform. And you wanna talk about a pedigree? Win a playoff game first. Now, what leadership are you talking about? Because the last time I checked, 42 of 50 current Patriots have yet to win a playoff game with the Patriots. 35 of these players have yet to ever win a single playoff game. Don't mention Tom Brady either, because he hasn't been able to win a SB since defensive players that Parcells drafted have came and gone. And Belichick a legendary coach? Wrong. I can understand calling Brady a legendary quarterback, but lets not sit here and act like Bill Belichick is legendary, when he's not. How many championships has Belichick won since spygate? Exactly. Zero. It's kind of hard to win super bowls, when you don't know which play is coming next (pre-snap). Also, why did Belichick and the Patriots lose a 1st round draft pick? For cheating, correct? When was the last time a team lost a 1st round draft pick before, or even after NE? I have no idea, because it never happens. Yes, Bill Belichick will end up in the hall of fame one day, but not because he's "legendary", but because he was blessed with a hall of fame quarterback in Tom Brady. He was a CAREER LOSER before Tom Brady, and chances are, he'll become a career loser after Tom Brady. That's if he sticks around. Chances are, he'll retire. In 91 Belichick went 6-10 In 92 Belichick went 7-9 In 93 Belichick went 7-9 In 94 Belichick went 11-5 In 95 Belichick went 5-11 In 2000 Belichick went 5-11. And then Brady came. He's since gone 14-2, 14-2, 10-6. 12-4, 16-0, 10-6 and 14-2, 5-3. It's no coincidence that Belichick went 41-55 before Tom Brady with 5 of 6 losing seasons, but yet, has gone 95-25 with Brady under center, has never had a losing record under Brady, and has made the playoffs 7 of 8 years under Brady. Once you factor in the Matt Cassel season, Belichick has gone 52-60 without Brady and 92-25 with Brady. He's a career loser without Brady running the offense, and ever since he's lost Bill Parcells drafted players... He's fielded laughing stock D's. So yes, he'll go into the hall of fame because of Brady and Parcells drafted defenders, but lets stop acting like he's some type of "legendary" head coach. Because he's a fraud with tainted ***championships***. Not only have you all lost two games, but you all have the NFL's worst ranked defense. Losing is contagious, and as of right now... The Patriots are reeling with a laughing stock defense. NE only lost two games all of last season, but yet, have already lost 3 games and it's only been 8 weeks. Reeling. One of the greatest? Without a doubt. The greatest? Not a chance. That title belongs to Joe Montana. But you won't have to wait too long for Brady to hang his cleats up. He's now 34 years old with maybe 2-4 years left at most. It's gonne be fun watching the steep decline of a once great Brady. Once Brady is gone, the Patriots will become that team of the AFC East, that fans no longer care enough to even talk about anymore; just like it's always been. After Brady, the Patriots will become the Dolphins after Marino left. Or the Bills after Kelly left. Enjoy. You're right about Belly never laying down. He'd rather find a camera man, know the other teams playbook, lose a 1st round draft pick for cheating before he ever "lays down". I bet you've been saying this for 8 weeks now. Waiting for a washed up Chad Johnson to break out. Guess what? He's a shell of what he once was at the age of 33 turning 34. He has 9 receptions, 136 yards and 0 TD's this season. That's an average of only 1.1 receptions, 17 yards and 0.00 TD's per game. Over the last 3 games? He's put up a whopping 0 receptions for 0 yards and 0 TD's. He'll be lucky to see the field, let alone make a catch. And as far as Chad Johnson not being singled... Are you stupid or just clueless? Revis has always owned Chad, one on one, with no safety help. In 2009 during week 17 Revis held Johnson to only 0 receptions for 0 yards and 0 TD's. Kind of like what Chad has done over the past 3 weeks. Which is, 0 catches for 0 yards and 0 TD's. And during the playoffs back in 2009, Revis held Johnson to only 2 catches for 28 yards and 0 TD's. But don't worry about it, we won't waste Revis on a jag such as Chad Johnson... We could line up Eric Smith on Chad Johnson, and Johnson would still pick up 0 receptions for 0 yards and 0 TD's... If Woodhead plays this Sunday, chances are... He'll get hurt yet again. We should change the name of the little 190 pounder from Woodhead to ConcussionHead. PS: He's not very good, not at all. There you go... Living in the past again. Tomlinson is a MUCH better 3rd down back these days, when compared to a past his prime 35 year old Kevin Faulk. And, how is Faulk the best 3rd down back in the game today, when he's only put up 32 yards this season? There you go living in the la-la past again. He's also listed as being questionable for the Jets game. I never knew you could have only 32 yards on the season, an average of 4 yards per game... And be considered as the best. You mean the same Edelman who's only put up 3 catches for 27 yards and 0 TD's this season, or the Edelman who's being charged with a crime for violating a woman at a club? Do any of those tools include a camera man and a camera? But yes, the word 'tool' is a good word to describe players such as Edelman, Faulk, Chad Johnson and Woodhead. Stop living in the past, what have those 4 guys done this season, other than A.) Catch a charge, B.) Miss every game because of injury. C.) Put up 0 catches, 0 receptions and 0 yards over the past 3 games and D.) Continue to get hurt every game.

Il Mostro
First of all, its not about their roster being filled with winners, its about them winning with the guys they have. No team has ever been filled with winners on their roster, they BECOME WINNERS. So lets get that right fact straight right now, and you want to talk about the past. When is the last time your team even went to the Superbowl, and what was Mark Sanchez's passer rating in those 1 or two playoff games he has played in. For a matter of fact, what is his passer rating now? That is not going to win you anything in this new league of passing. You can ask Drew Brees, Aaron Rodgers, Ben Roethlisberger, Peyton Manning or Tom Brady. And yes, its been a while since we have won any Superbowl's but we still have the same head coach and the same quarterback, with the same capabilities. And what makes me laugh is that before, Greenbay won the superbowl last year there were guys on that time that never won a SINGLE PLAYOFF GAME, and well as Pittsburgh, and other playoff winning teams. So making that point about having players who have never won a single playoff game means nothing and makes no sense, as you can't have every playoff winning team with each player on that roster having to win a playoff game before at some point in their career, that is humanly impossble. What if they are rookies, or 1st and 2nd year players genius?

JetsFanFromQueens
and what was Mark Sanchez's passer rating in those 1 or two playoff games he has played in. You fell for the bait. Now I have you fish hooked. Sanchez has a playoff QB rating of 94.3. Sanchez has played 6 career playoff games with a road record of 4-2. Sanchez has a postseason career QB rating of 94.3, and has gone 95/157, 1,155, yards, 60.5%, 9 TD's/3 INT's with a QB rating of 94.3 during 6 career playoff games. Only 5 NFL quarterbacks has ever posted a postseason career rating that ranks higher than Sanchez' playoff performances. And no, Tom Brady isn't one of them. Those 5 quarterbacks are Aaron Rodgers, Bart Starr, Kurt Warner, Drew Bress and Joe Montana. Tom Brady only has a career playoff QB rating of 85.7. After Brady's first 6 playoff games, he only had a playoff QB rating of 80.9 For a matter of fact, what is his passer rating now? Sanchez currently has a QB rating of 84.0 and he's only in his 3rd season. Outside of the Baltimore game; Sanchez has a quarterback rating of 95.2 this season. It took Tom Brady 5 years before he ended a season with a QB rating of 90+. Brady posted a QB rating of 85.7 during his 3rd year in the league. Sanchez is on pace to post a QB rating of 90+ during only his 3rd year.
