I think it was. Yeah, Yoko's not going to win too many popularity contests among people that like the Beatles. But John was no angel either. And Yoko seemed to be what he wanted. NorthCoastJetsFan
Was that not during a Monday Night Football game? I think it was. Yes, it was. I remember the Dolphins were playing, but I don't remember the opponent. Howard Cosell broke into the play-by-play with the announcement of Lennon's death. There was a special on about the death of John Lennon a week or two ago on NBC. Interesting stuff, jogged a lot of memories. Here's the obligatory lyric for Greengal: Instant Karma's gonna get you... knock you right off your feet.

VanDoug Yes John certainly had his faults-and had a pretty bad temper also. Yoko though is not one of my favorite people dispite that for her meddling and suffocation and just general nastiness
vanDoug
Some Lennon memories. John would often get producer George Martin to do things to enhance/change the sound of his voice. This is clearly evident on some of my fav Lennon songs; Walrus, Lucy, Strawberry, Day in the Life, Mr Kite. Lyrically and musically these songs are brilliant. Loved the jab he took at the Rolling Stones with Dig a Pony I, I - I, I - I, Roll a stoney Well you can imitate ev

Howard Cosell broke into the play-by-play with the announcement of Lennon's death. They were playing the Patriots. The announcement Cosell made was with about 10-15 seconds left in the 4th quarter.
