Bleedin Green
Wow. Josh Baker gone. What a cruel game. You get hurt and now you do not get a paycheck. He was waived as injured, meaning as long as he clears he comes back to the Jets and goes on IR.

I know if he clears waiver he is here on IR. But does that qualify a player for a paycheck ?

bitonti
I know if he clears waiver he is here on IR. But does that qualify a player for a paycheck ? He gets a settlement. (Unless the new CBA is different) the rule is they can't waive a guy unless he's healthy. For Baker to get waived today means they reached an injury settlement. The Crusher
im not a doctor but that looked like more than an ACL tear. It was downright nasty. Looked like it could have been multiple ligaments and or a fracture. That was ugly and it was obvious he was n trouble.
