Brady going down before he is hit

He's 38 or something and on the back end of his career. Smart move imo. It's over for the Pats. Lucky for them, they're still an average to good team which will possibly be good enough to win a division that consists of 2 rookie QBs and a second year QB. But the reign is obviously fading away.

Get him a couple top tier WR to go with Gronk and he will still be effective.

Get any NFL QB that and you'll get similar results. Look at Andy Dalton. That said, not trying to diminish Brady's career. He's an all time great. But the light is slowly dimming and his skills are not what they once were. And the team around him is about as bleak with talent as ever. His presence along with Belichick's is keeping them in these game imo. It's the same feel as watching the Yankees 1-2 years prior to 2013. They're hanging on as a Playoff team.

He's a lot like Dan Marino in that aspect. Marino HATED getting hit which is why he had such a quick release, he'd chuck that thing out of his hands to avoid getting beaten up. Now the question then becomes are they pu$$ie$ or are they just being smart? Remember now Danny Boy only got hurt on a Vinny-like fluke injury and what Brady's was (what 'I' think anyway) was a revenge cheap shot to his knee for all of Wilfat's doing the same to any and every QB that he could get away with it on.

After the first sack, he did not try to escape the sack , afraid of being hit.

Sorry that alone disqualifies you from the 'greates QB of all time' discussion.

Non story, IMO it's actually a great trait to have as a QB as long as it only happens in situations where you know 100% your not going to escape, or be able to throw the ball away, it acomplishes 2 things first it prevents a turnover on a possible fumble if he takes the hit, and 2 greatly reduces the possibility of him getting injured on the play, Peyton Manning has been doing this for years also, so arguably the 2 greatest QB's to ever play do the same thing maybe other non mobile/turnover prone QB's should take notice.
