Marvel vs. DC Mafia

hey asshat if you read my post it states its not a 4k TV but it does play 4 k content and it does upconvert 1080p. This TV currently has the best picture on the market and its only 1500 bucks and will still play 4k content as it starts to release. If he takes your advice He buys a TV that will be outdated in a few years when he.s wanting that 4k.

As for the HT equiptment you just purchased your right it will probably last you 7 years if it does not over heat and break down before that. Integrated amps don't even push half the power they are rated at and never will . If you paid Just a little more for the Emotiva you would be getting infinitely more quality and it would last you 20 years or quite possibly the rest of your life.

Buy Onkyo with Integrated amps claiming 100 W per channel and you will be lucky to get 30 W per channel anyone who tells you different is lying and knows nothing about audio equiptment. It will always over heat and it will not have the punch to drive those speakers.

But the emotiva pre amp with a separate amp pushing 200 w Per channel and you get 200w per channel and infinite life span and it properly drives what ever speakers you choose to go with.

Emotiva is compared to systems like Krell. Sunfire and Bryston ..the reason Emotiva is able to keep audiophile type equiptment at low prices is because they sell from their website and not to stores who mark it up and rip you off.

Your knowledge of the topic is about 10 years old..  the onkyo pushes 135 watts per channel and has had glorious reviews.  Emotiva makes good stuff but it's overkill.  I don't need 200 watts per channel.  I'm not 18 years old.  Right now my Denon pumps out 90 watts per channel and it sounds like Imax if I want it to.

I did consider an emotiva sub a couple years ago but it lost to my Outlaw which goes to 16hz and was a couple hundred less.

and what the hell good is a tv that will play 4k content if it's not really in 4k?  Just wait 5 years until the prices of true 4k tvs go down..  and when 4k content is readily available.

Does your Emotiva pre amp come with Audessy XT32 room correction?  Because my Onkyo does..  It's the difference between loud for the sake of loud and loud and a receiver that has been tuned to maximize the listening experience in your particular room.

So while your pumping 3 Dog Night and dancing around in your boxers like a lunatic, I'll be immersed in an ocean of pleasant -- not harsh -- sound while watching Avengers.

Does FiOS provide the receiver? I'm already getting their HD set top box.

no..  it's not the same thing at all..  might be a good idea to just say how much money you want to spend and i'll tell you what to buy.

a receiver is what generates the sound and stuff..  fios has nothing to do with that.

If you just want a tv the one you linked is fine..  if you want a full home theater you'll need to put down an addtl 800-1000 at minimum.

FYI, in case I die due to Smash labeling me as town on his viewing, I'm starting to doubt we have a Cop.

Don't think we'd have a Tracker and Cop for town.  Not with 2 scum dead, and only goons.

Smash prob needs to be lynched.

You might be on to something with this..  not to mention the fact that he's still alive and there's been no mention of a doc.

Wasn't Onkyo popular 15 years ago when Bose stiil made good speakers rather than gimmicky tiny little.ones ? If not I'm pissed. I replaced them few years back with a Yamaha receiver and Klipsch speakers. I must look like an idiot when people come over. I got the good stuff In the kids room downstairs and the new stuff upstairs in the den. Does anyone say Den anymore or is family room the same thing? Pretty sure dooshy PAC refers to his den as a man cave or a media room. Lol.

Four-eyes.  Maple-lover.  D-bag.  All names he had been tortured with as a child, paving the way to the aggressive, sometimes temperamental persona he had developed in several internet communities but more importantly toughening him up to become the leader he was today.

Some though, feel that he learned his trash talking and leadership skills on the ice, playing hockey.  Those that really knew him knew hockey wasn't where his heart belonged – the place of his one true love? figure skating.  While he had been a junior Olympian in the sport of ice hockey it was figure skating that always remained the one bright spot in his heart.  Having been banned since the unfortunate incident at the age of 8 for melting the ice sending a polar bear cub and an entire family of penguins to their icy demise, the hero lashed out as a way to repair the triple axel gashed hole in his heart.

Though he never graced a Wheaties box as “America’s Sweetheart” after bringing home Olympic gold he had been the leader of one of the greatest super hero teams on the face of planet Earth.  A grumpy hero, but a hero none the less.

GFY, EAD, DIAF, and OMGSTFUIH8U SO MUCH were phrases often uttered from the mouth of Verbal, The Stanley Cup Man…but what he really meant with those little tidbits were actually words of encouragement shrouded as anger:

“Go Free Yourself….and skate”

“Exceptionally and Daintily – that’s how you bake the perfect soufflé”

“Do It, Awesome Friend”

“Oh My God Shut The F*** Up, I Hate You So Much” – okay, this was actually what he meant when he talked to The 80 Million Cent Man.

So as everyone slept, he watched footage of Tara Lapinski winning the gold at the ’98 Nagano Olympics…and wept.

“It should have been me…*sniffle*…perhaps in another life” The Stanley Cup Man sighed as he looked to the wall at his heroic hockey uniform in disgust.

“How’s about we hurry that along?” whispered the same shadowy figure from before as he fired a grappling hook around and through the hero of the ice.

Ironically it was the way our hero had always wanted to go out – metal dangling around his neck.  He had hoped for gold though.  Perhaps in another life.

Verbal The Stanley Cup Man, Cyclops (vanilla town) was dead!!!!

It is now day.

about the model I just got- suck it

Movies

The quality of audio for movies - and indeed, 5.1 encoded TV shows - is stunning. We usually chose to run the Onkyo on "direct" mode, rather than use one of the THX or Dolby audio processing modes. What we found was that the quality of this receiver is just stunning when used like this. Give it Dolby Digital, DTS HD-MA or Dolby TrueHD and let it do its thing with sound mixed as it would be for cinema use.

If you're using stereo audio as a starting point, then there are some nice modes to pull Dolby Pro Logic audio out - most modern TV shows, and indeed those from the last 10-15 years have Pro Logic soundtracks encoded in their stereo audio. So while you might not always get lossless digital audio, you will often get some sort of surround sound. Again, this all sounds brilliant, and there are several THX, Onkyo and Dolby modes that will help you get the best sound from these audio formats.

But in terms of day-to-day performance, we were blown away by how beautifully the Onkyo delivers its sound. Our speakers sang with the brilliance of movie soundtracks. Put in Casino Royale on Blu-ray - the special edition version - and you'll hear a stunning amount of detail.

lets hear these smash "results"..

Smash results Crusher is Town.

My vote is on PAC ...Why you ask ? Nothing to do with stereos everything to do with his hammer vote on Leelou.

Leelou claimed Doc and at the time she was uncountered I was about to unvote but PAC her teammate swooped in and Hammered without giving any time at all for her to defend which is a dumb town move because as the Godfather he knew I got a Town result on him which he was hoping would solidify his town read. Before my investigation on PAC I believe Leelou claimed she had a town read on him.
