People I have played with before are either wrong about me or are intentionally lying about it, and I don't enjoy that guessing game of "who's dumb and who's full of it?" I've been playing that game for like 2 solid months of games now. I'm tired of having to clear people despite their behavior.

100% correct and I think it's JN's biggest fault.  That being said kinda hard to poke around wihen your getting no response. (insert Viagra joke here)

Reading through last night, I rescind my opinion that Tommy is different.  What prompted me to think so was that he jumped to voting me rather quickly, which he doesn't normally do.  However, reading over last night I can see that that isn't the case.

 

However, I think Nol is scummy because of how I feel he keeps trying to nudge/hint that Tommy's on the brink of a meltdown.

 

You've seen him play several times on DM, he's not doing any differently that he does in a normal game, but because he's new I feel like you're trying to prompt it.

This is a real problem in mafia games and something that I try to actively avoid on D1 because it's more likely that the loud and proud players are townies and the people letting it happen are scum. That's why it's unacceptable that we have something like 7 players who aren't actively participating; there's little chance I can correctly peg 3/7 on D1, and if any of the scum are posting a lot (which usually does happen, there will be 1 louder scum generally, unless the team sucks) then it's 2/7 and those aren't great odds, especially with people I don't know.

He's even admitted it. He's frustrated with how other games have gone and says he's seeing more of the same here.

I actually thought your response to me felt weird on tone, but I was mainly worried that for like the third game in a row your opening thoughts are "tommy is town" which really doesn't do anything to help me read you since you do it in both roles. Which players here do you know? Did you see anything else weird when you were reading the thread?

He knows scum will push emotional buttons if possible, including telling people they aren't doing enough.

So why is he letting it get to him so much?

 

The thought has absolutely crossed my mind.  But I just figured this was him.  Arsis was expecting this type of Meta, which IMO, Tom has delivered on so its kind of weird the Arsis was saying different.  Something to think about.

I remember the JiF post you're talking about, but I took it as him being excited. I will say that the phrasing you're using here is much more likely to come from a townie than scum, though I had you pegged as town already.

80, when do you get serious? I will probably be dead before then, which is part of my frustration in games like this.

 

You read me well.  I was excited.  I have my favorite role.  When I have this role, just get out of the way because I'm about to Batman the sh*t out of this game. That's why scum is ****ed.  

 

We ignore 80 at all costs unless we're killing him.  The only time you pay attention to 80 is if its absolutely necessary based on something that happened in the game.  Otherwise, just gloss over his posts.  

 

Well at least people are being coerced into action, that's the one thing I always manage to do, pester people until they care or just get annoyed with me.

I'd wager that Nolder 80 and JiF are all townies, and Smash is being stubborn enough that he might be too.

Let's avoid taking shots at people who are active and present and are actually playing the game. Let's kill people who aren't.

I've just decided that people aren't going to change. Some just get busy and others just give no ****s.

If I want to play mafia I will just have to put up with that bullsh*t. Doesn't mean I wont call out inactivity, I will and I will be harsh.

But I think I'm just done going on 10+ post rants about it.
