Larz
he made an appearance at practice, but I doubt he is ready. I'm hoping for MNF
Jet in PA
@nyjets: Bowles: WR Devin Smith participated in team drills for the first time today. Will NOT play Sunday. All of the other rookies are full go though

Jet in PA
@KMart_LI: Bowles said Devin Smith is unlikely to play Sunday, but they'll make decision pre-game So you're saying there's a chance?
#bman
let him sit a week. He'll pay week 2 and burn the Colts.
Jet Nut
Too many new entries into the gameplan that he wont be up to speed on
nyjunc
the fact that he is a game time decision should be good news that he will be back pretty soon. I doubt he plays this week but we have an extra day in week 2w/ a Mon Night game so I would expect he'll make his debut that night in Indy. JetBlue
Even if he just runs go routes when he returns, that can still impact the game by opening up the underneath passing and keep defenses from stacking the line to stop the run. I expect him back by the 2nd or 3rd game and to see him more fully integrated into the offense after the bye week.

LouisvilleSlugger25
They probably have 2 or 3 go routes for him and the rest of the time he'll be used as a decoy to keep the safeties honest. If it were up to me, id give him the week off.

Jetlife33
Great news even if he isn't a huge factor. Just having him out there healthy is a plus.
FidelioJet
If the coaches think he's healthy enough to play he should play. Its not like he hasn't been in the facility, watching film, watching practice, learning the playbook etc... may at be a little rusty, but I'm sure he can still track down the deep ball in the air (which is, what I've been told, makes this guy special) I I certainly hope he can play. richjets
Devin smith most likely will not play which would be better for him to bring him back slowly and see how he responds next week with contact. He has missed a lot time and reps so needs to get back into playing form Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
