How the hell was Dee Milliner that bad?

He had zero technique. He spent his entire collegiate career using his athletic skill to beat lesser athletes. When he hit the NFL athleticism didn't matter without technique, and his injuries never allowed him to develop technique. And when he won DPOM people forget he was burned multiple times where a receiver dropped the ball or the QB overthrew him. And his INT's were gifts. He didn't do anything spectacular during that period.

Somewhat random thread, but this guy was the consensus top corner in that draft and is now completely out of football- what the hell happened there? He was a good athlete, played at the top school in the nation and completely bombed out. Work ethic?

Some guys bodies just break down faster than others. Didn't he have half a dozen surgeries while in college.

garbage player with an injury problem. Do people forget just how terrible he was that first season ?

He was first half of his rookie season. Again he was rehabbing an injury from bama. Second half of season he played a lot better. 2nd season Achilles tear.

Injuries was the number 1 reason for him busting.  That said, Nick Saban does not teach his CB's to play the football, the rules are different in college, and grabbing, and hand fighting is tolerated, also the back shoulder fade is not executed like it is in the NFL so you won't get burned all game with those.

This is why I say HELL NO to the Alabama CB Humphrey in this years draft, he is projected to be a top of the 1st round pick, and you will have to start all over teaching him proper technique needed in the NFL.

he had a few good games at the end of the season vs scrub teams with bad WR's he did not play good for half of a season. He stinks and its obvious

the thing is idzik drafts millener full well knowing his injury history and then also drafts macdougle.  fwif, macdougle is still on the team hanging on by a thread.

Idzik is the Anti-Midas. Everything he touches turns to sh!t.
