Putting your own name on a jersey allows you to rep your team AND to have something that is timeless .  That's a win-win as far as I'm concerned.

I bought a Kellen Clemens jersey for $20 a couple of years ago. That was the limit of what I was willing to pay at the time for any Jets jersey. Today, even that amount is too much. I wear the Clemens jersey once in a blue moon, just for sh*ts and giggles. Hate the new jerseys and wouldn't give you a plugged nickel for one.

Would not care about spending money on something that you like ( bought a Henrik Lundqvist sweater at the Garden which is way over priced but really like it)  But for me I don’t like the new style uniforms so I agree with Joe Willie wouldn’t spend a plugged nickel for one
