I didn't include the Steroid Era decades (90's and 2000's) because there were too many, and it pisses me off still, lol. Mel Ott is correct! Don't be too hard on yourself. I would have guessed Ruth too. When you hit more HR in a season than entire teams, and do that on multiple occasions, even 6 years of Ruth could have conceivably resulted in 300+ HR being hit.
