Dude, you assumed wrong.

New York's second class team will not open at home this year.

The Giants-Colts have already been announced as a featured game on Sunday.

And no way in hell a friggn' 4-12 team would get a Sunday or Monday night game.

The Jets will open (with yet another loss) on the road.

To turn this around who are the Pats going to lose to in their first game?

I think it would be nice and have a little symmetry with the Jets at Browns on Monday night.

That was the first game of Monday Night Football, and it would be a nice touch to repeat it fot the first game of Monday Night Football on ESpn.

But it makes too much sense, it won't happen.

My guess is we open with Minnesota.

The reason it won't happen is because 4-12 teams do not open the Monday Night schedule.

If it's Green Bay then I will only consider going if Brett Favre returns. Favre = Maybe. No Favre = Definitely No.

If it's Cleveland well then it looks like JN will be having 2 straight party weeks with the home opener the next week.

Buffalo we've opened up with before and wouldn't be a bad choice. Neither would New England.

I'm thinking though it will be Tennessee with the Kevin Mawae factor. But, hey, you never know.

Jacksonville, Miami and Minnesota are all out of the question already though because they all have opening weekend games set.

Monday Night games aren't even the showcase anymore, it's switched to Sunday Night.

I'm beginning to see why most people hate Patriots fans, you're really annoying. Why don't you go to a Patriots board instead of annoying all of us here? Nobody here likes you.

Syphilis,

If a poll was taken to see who should get banned, me or you, who do you think would get the ax?

I'll let you in on a little secret, it wouldn't be me.;)

First post. Great site, as I've been a reader for awhile. You guys have some great discussion. Glad to be aboard.

NFL.com has this year's Jets home opponents as:

New England

Buffalo

Miami

Houston

Indianapolis

Chicago

Detroit

Oakland

That said, as an earlier poster stated, the Jets will probably open on the road with one of the teams stated in Smizzy's original post. I'll go with Buffalo.
