madmike1
The Brick is in the house. Continuing their streak of signing their top picks before the start of training camp, the Jets agreed in principle tonight on a blockbuster contract with left tackle D

(Though the #4 pick got $18M in guaranteed money in 2005.) He'd better be worth it, all the same.

Maxman
Nice scoop by Cimini. Didn't see this reported anywhere else. Good day to launch his new blog! Congrats to D'Brick...and the Jets. A holdout would have been bad. Let's get Mangold and Clemens in camp and then we are ready for JETS Football!

NIGHT STALKER
Great signing...I don't give two ****s what the hell they paid him. Now, if we can get Mangold signed quickly, these two kids and the rest of the line can form that all important chemistry. That all important cliche', it all starts up front...this kid is projected to be an impact T for the next decade at least...go Jets!

vanDoug
Once again, the Jets over pay for a player. Same old Jets. Think so?? There's a clause in Brick's contract that requires him to block Patsie trolls posting on JN. Dude's underpaid.

Maxman
I think it was JFF who said it earlier in this thread. But I give Brick credit for signing before the guys around him. Especially considering the money that Bush is looking for. That could throw off the whole slotting thing in his favor. Instead he is a NY Jet and he is ready for camp. This is a good day. Looks like we are bringing in not only smart players but players that care about the team. A good day for the Jets!
