Ten Posted August 24, 2006 Share Posted August 24, 2006 Watson will be a good tight end but i do'nt believe he could play a full game as a receiver.He's fast for a TE but asking guys of that size to play WR will only tire him down,plus he'll be going up against corner backs,while he could out muscle them his speed and general route running skills should be trumped by corner's coverage skills. Graham's a solid TE and would fight for the starting job he'll never be a receiver. I'm not going to even comment on Thomas because it's just that absurd. Cothcery is better than anyother receiver on the pats other than Branch.Same goes for McCariens too.Dwight is a good slot guy and Smith should make a few plays this season.Then you've got Newhouse who has a lot of potential. The Jets have a much better WR core.The pats have a much better TE core.Add them together and i'd give the Jets the edge(simply because it's better to have good WR's than TE's) although it would be fairly close.The pats probably have the best group of TE's in the league.
