Alk
You can forget about it. No way they trade Branch to a team in the same division unless they are ready to part with about two first round picks. If they do, you should be very concerned because that means they think absolutely nothing of him and aren't worried about having to face him twice in a season. The Troll
I would trade one of our 2s for Branch. Nothing more.
PFSIKH
It is not like there is not a precedent during he Belichick era. He did trade Drew to Buffalo. What better way to negate Deoin then to send him Hempstead.
Garb
....as if the Pats would part for one #2? It will take a #1 and a ...um....3 or 4? The Jets would be INSANE to do that.
#27TheDominator
I would trade one of our 2s for Branch. Nothing more. A lot depends on the $$. Obviously he's not going to come in and play on his current contract. I don't think we want to blow a ton of cap space on Branch when there are cheaper options available that won't force us to trade high pick(s) to a division rival. NJ
Yeah - lets spend a bunch on Branch so he can deliver 700 receiving yards and 2 TD's. We still cant get the ball to him.
GimmeShelter
The Jets acted almost immediately when the Patriots allowed Branch permission to seek a trade, and a contract agreement was reached late Monday. The NFC team reached agreement on a similar deal yesterday. Terms of the contract were not available, but league sources said the deals far exceeded what the Patriots had offered. I guess the "Branch will get a rude awakening once he sees his market value" mantra has went out the window.

I don't know what to think about this,Branch is a solid player and would be our number 2 WR,but is he a downfield threat that can compliment Coles?
