The thing about most fans who live in NY, Philly, even New England is in the fact that they HATE it when other teams/rivals win. They hate it when their teams lose.

If you move out to the west coast, Los Angeles, Seattle, even San Diego, the fact is, they don't live and die by their sports teams like the east coast fans do. YEah they root for them, but the term diehard fan really shouldn't be used for the majority of the west coast teams fans.

Being I've lived in both regions, there is a tremendous difference between East coast sports fans and west coast sports fans.

I mean gee, the Yanks/Sox rivalry is a hate-hate whine fest from the fans, to the players, to the Gms, to the OWNERS.

Giants vs Eagles. Giants vs Skins and Cowboys.

Jets vs Pats. Jets vs Dolphins. Jets vs Bills. Used to be Jets vs Colts.

I grew up and lived on Long Island until I was 27. I moved to New England because of my job. I go to every single Jets home game, including preseason. I drive 4 freakin hours each way to watch them play. I spend close to $5000 a year going to watch this team. I leave at 6 in the morning and get home after 10pm, and thats if its a 1 oclock game... I have NEVER left a Jets game early. How many of you can claim any of this? How many of you who dont have season tickets turn the game off??? I live and die with this team.

Sure, I hate the Pats, but does that mean I have to come on here and bitch and moan and act like a child? Sorry, I grew up about 10 years ago... I dont need to knock other teams to make me feel good. All I want is for my team, the Jets to win, plain and simple.

Remember Bledsoe and Parcells took the Pats to a SB in the mid 90's. A loss, but still a SB chance.

The Jets have not even sniffed the SB.. They choked and lost 20-10 to the Broncos in 1998, and haven't really been close since.

Some fans think Mangini is the answer, right now for me, it's a wait and see. His playoff performance left me with a sour taste in my mouth.

What pisses me off so much is having to listen to Sox fans piss and moan about the Yanks... and I dont even like the Yanks! and now my own fans act the same way as fans in New England, and to me it is embarrassing... I hate the Pats, never rooted for them (unless it helped our playoff spot...) and would love to see them suffer instead of win.

I would love to put the smackdown on them for a few years. Plus, I dont believe that was a penalty... the Charger was holding him and he made contact and Rivers fell, he should win an oscar. Although, I do believe if the Jets did that, it would have been called, but thats because I am a negative person...
