Awesome!

Gasol, Artest - Way to ****ing step up to the plate, even Sasha at the end with some seriously clutch FT's. I was doubting some of those guys halfway through, especially Artest but they made it happen tonight.

Kobe was great in the finals, the game 7 - He was trying to do too much but was still great defensively. To say he didn't deserve the MVP is ridiculous considering he was carrying the team at times, can't get caught up in the one game.

The Celtics were good, I knew they were incredibly underrated coming into the playoffs but I'm delighted to see the Lakers get payback for '08.

Here's to another in 2011!

I think two is enough.

No.

Kobe vs Lebron happens next year IMO, it has to. Regardless of the team I think the NBA will get them there, too much of a financial opportunity for it not to ever happen IMO.

I can see Kobe and the Los Angeles Lakers making it back to the NBA Championship series. All I see Lebron doing in Cleveland is more commercials that will be aired during the NBA Championship series which he again won't play in.

You do know that this story is a complete, fabricated lie, correct?

Was the stuff thrown at Kobe while he was shooting a free throw also a complete, fabricated lie?

I know your bias refuses to allow you to believe that Boston fans could do such a thing, but all the reports out there are that it happened, and I've heard no one say anything different other than yourself.

Man, I know Kobe was great for a lot of this series, but Gasol won this game for them. When you win a Game 7 for your squad, I dunno, I think that should be an auto-win for MVP. Kudos to Kobe, but Gasol was brilliant tonight.

Agree in a general sense, but beyond the name-recognition problem, Gasol spent the first three quarters tonight playing like his testicles hadn't descended yet. If we're being honest, the real MVP of this series is Ron Artest.

You hear what you want to hear - a fabricated story gone wild. It's practically impossible to be "pelted by rocks" in that area. 'wanna know why? THERE IS NO WHERE TO FIND THAT MANY ROCKS. Dude, I live here. You could not possibly find that many rocks. So, basically, a bunch of morons brought buckets of rocks from home? C'mon. The story is bullsh*t...especially since ...um....it comes out two years later? Your telling me no one uttered a word of this prior? Child please.

Phil Jackson was right, Boston knows how to lose in the fourth quarter. I would say "congrats" - but I can't congratulate a rapist. Ugly Llama should have won the MVP - and I loathe to say that, but it's true.

Meh, of game 7, yes Artest was the MVP. The whole series, I dunno.

Anyone that thought Gasol played well last night is nuts. He was complete pusswah for 3 quarters and turned it up in the 4th. That said, he was spectacular in the 4th. Played out of his mind.

Ron Artest won that game for the Lakers. Hands down. He kept them from getting blown the **** out in the 1st half and proceeded to make big play after big play in the 2nd.

Kobe won the MVP because he's Kobe. I'll say this, the Lakers dont win that series without Derek Fisher either. He hit HUGE shots all throughout the series.

Also, I've lost all respect for Doc Rivers. Its a trickle down affect, he's the biggest complainer HC I've ever witnessed. I've never seen a HC work the refs so hard in my life. And his comments after the game, pathetic. Him and Paul Pierce should go to the Euro leagues, they'd be perfect there.

Notice the variety of articles written by different news places, and Boston sources did not dispute it.

Yep. They're the masters.

I would say "congrats" - but I can't congratulate a rapist.

Translation: You would say "congrats", if you weren't a bitter Boston fan.

Phil Jackson rides the refs the most, it's funny how he always gets a pass because he's won so much. Phil Jackson complains the most IMO.

Boston Sports fans are far from bitter. This decade has been good. I just have a real dislike of phoney rapists. Call me crazy.

And the story is either bunk or HIGHLY exaggerated. HAS TO BE. 1) the bus has a police escort from the hotel to the arena. 2) there are no rocks to be had on the route. Therefore this story is bullshi*t gone wild or one drunken kid threw sometghing at the bus and the tale got real tall. I know this because I HAVE SEEN THESE POLICE ESCORTED BUSES SINCE I WORKED ACCROSS THE STREET FROM THE BOSTON GARDEN IN 2008 and, I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT IT'S LIKE WHEREVER YOU LIVE, BUT THERE ARE NO CLUSTERS OF ROCKS JUST LYING AROUND ON THE STREETS OF BOSTON.

Jeepers, people are dense.

No he really doesnt. He's very mellow and picks his battles. Doc is over the top...nobody I have ever seen compares to him...not even close. He literally argues each and every foul. His mannerisms, body language...its out of control. Its no wonder his team is the exact same way. Really takes away from the game.

That's bogus and you know it. You're simply a sore loser and can't admit it.

Good point, you are pretty dense.

Agree to disagree I guess, Phil is not as animated but he does get on the refs and when things don't go the well for the Lakers, he takes little shots @ refs in press conferences. Phil was the one who started crying about the 'moving' screens in this past series, cried how the (refs) treated Kevin Durant all year and even when they played in the first round. He just gets a pass because he's the "zen master" and won a lot. All BS.

Is this a joke?

Artest did a good job on Pierce but lets not act like Pierce was the player he was two years ago coming into this series. No the Celtics best player coming in was Rondo and Bryant did a job on him. Bryant was absolutely spectacular defensively in this series making great hustle plays all over the place.

Artest was also an offensive liability up until game 6. He simply didn't show up in Boston. The most valuable player for the Lakers was Kobe Bryant - There's not a question about it.

what he said about Durant was just his usual mind games. He likes to do something like that before each series to give people something to think about, like when he claimed Nash carries the ball. No one takes it seriously.

Right before the series, yes, it's a mind game. However, he said it all year.

You do know that this story is a complete, fabricated lie, correct?

1) Buses all have police escorts. 2) It was alleged to have happened in front of Fanuiel Hall - with such a heavy police presence because of the drunken tourists 3) In front of Fanueil Hall - accross from Boston City Hall - Congress Street - TRAFFIC. 4) there are no reports or witnesses other than some Lakers. I find this most interesting since, and trust me when I tell you this, there are enough Liberal ding-dongs in Boston who don't care about sports and revile violence and would drop a dime in seconds flat.

It does not shock me that the Lakers would make a story up to cover up their big loss though. Typical of team that plays for the fakest fans on Earth.

Anyway, Lakers win tonight by 7.

I hope Pau Gasol gets hit by lightning on his way to visit his family at the Transylvanian Ugly Llama Farm. Take a freakin' shower you dirty pig. Hate that guy! :)

Why Miss T you surprise me with such talk. ;) Why would the Lakers make it up ? Did Doc Rivers make up the story about hiding the $$ too ? BTW Gasol's from Spain, not Transylvania.

I can make a case for Gasol IJ. He dominated the boards at key times and had big baskets when they needed them most. If the Lakers had lost they'd all be talking about how Kobe choked.
