dolphann4life
Except that when the season was on the line his decision making sucked and Sanchez's decision making was the best we've seen from him. Henne's never gonna be a bigtime QB as he continually wilts under pressure. Sanchez has already proven that he can step up his game when it matters most. HEre we go again...Kleck, Henne was asked to throw the ball nearly 60 times in multiple contests down the stretch where all Sanchez had to was not **** up. Both QB's have a bright future. JustInFudge
Why was Tom Brady drafted late in the 6th round and JaMarcus Russel the first overall? What round they were drafted in means nothing. Any analysis at this point must based on what each of them have done based on the games they have played in the NFL. It is too early to make any definitive declarations on either of them. Of what I have seen of both of them I think Henne is the better QB, both in terms of arm strength and decision making. The biggest reason why Sanchez was in the playoffs last year and Henne wasn't is sitting at home pouting because the Jets won't pay him as much as Oakland pays Aso. Ummm, this was a scouting report. Pretty sure where you are drafted has something to do with a scouting report. In the long run it has no bearing, but in the short term trying to make an assessment on a small body of work, it surely does. It means real scouts, not this dbag, thinks much more highly of Sanchez than Henne. And Tom Brady is the anomaly, you know that.

GodWearsAGrayHoodie
Well, then based on that small body of work, one player had 11 wins, the other had 7. Game over. Very superficial analysis. The Jets wins had more to do with Revis and the defense than Sanchez and the offense. The Jets were a better team than the Dolphins last year. Sanchez was not a better QB than Henne. The Jets were a better team than the Dolphins last year. Sanchez was not a better QB than Henne. Weird, the Dolphags beat the Jets twice. So in a head to head battle, you are wrong. Which makes it more impressive that a rookie QB with a rookie HC was able to take basically the same team that the legendary Brett Favre couldnt take to the playoffs, to 30 minutes from a SB. This was about projections and scouting. While I agree that Henne looked better than Sanchez, the way Sanchez finished and the experience he gained, I'd take Sanchez right now over Henne. Cojones! Myself, I think the one real positive we can lean on with Sanchez is that he's clearly not afraid of the bright lights or the big games. But, I agree that Henne is definitely more the prototype QB with all the tools. Both QB's are protected by their team's running games and I'd almost love to see what each of them would do if they ever got into one of those Marino v. O'Brien shootouts where they have to throw the ball on every down, especially if it was with a playoff spot on the line.

And really I've always felt Henne had the better year and looked like the better player, but the experienced gained by Sanchez gave him the edge. I no longer feel that way. Henne is just better. Better arm, better pocket presence, better accuracy, better decision making, just better in every category. And it was wet. Rained for like 3 hours straight and was raining pretty hard for all his reps. When the kid plants his foot and releases...it just looks right, every time. I'm the last guy who would ever come to the defense of an unproven Jets player that Tannenbaum picked, but I'm going to reserve judgement. We all thought Chad Pennington was a better QB than Tom Brady at one point, too. For, like, three games.

jussssstme
and Joe Montana couldn't throw a football through a paper bag but if my recollection is correct he was able to win a couple of games, so did a guy named Tarkenton who could run and hide but had to have a high arc on his throws to get it there. QB is more than arm strength. zactly

jussssstme
Perhaps that's what you intended to say, but it is clearly written as "their last 3 games". I understand that your team hasn't won 2 playoff games in a season in over 25 years, but the 3 playoff games Mark Sanchez played in count as his "last 3 games". nice. like it
