the Yankees are coming

Maxman

Let's get Jeter another ring.

Terrible loss tonight Maxman. 5 errors and a 4-2 loss to a Ranger team that had only 4 wins in their previous 28 games. Just when they gave us some hope after sweeping cincy, they bomb the next game. Hoping for the best.

The wheels just fell off tonight. They were surviving the errors but they couldn't get out of that inning even after they had two outs. Ouch, this one hurts.

You can't really call this year's version the "Bronx Bombers" with a straight face...

You definitely can't.  It is like Cashman did a complete 360.  Um how about somewhere in the middle Brian. One power hitter or two would be nice.  Instead you have your 200 million CFer batting 3rd.

Too bad they can't play the worst team in the majors and the Reds without most of their good players all the time. Don't read too much into the last week.

The Yankees are going to win the division. As a team they have a .252 batting average. That has division winner all over it.  :)

On a serious note, good thing batting average isn't important anymore!

Big series coming up against Toronto this weekend. We'll see how they fare.

If Baltimore loses tonight I think the Yankees are 2 out. Getting some distance with the Blue Jays would be nice.

They have to make the postseason. Jeter can't end this whole thing in the regular season.  If that happens people will forever say that Nomar was better.

It's actually worse than that. They are 11th in the league in SLG and 12th in OBP so it's sh*tty anyway you look at it.

Well they can't hit. None of us need any sort of box score to remind us of that. :)

The Yankees have added Chris Capuano to the active roster and designated Chris Leroux for the assignment, the team announced. Capuano, who acquired in a minor trade with the Rockies yesterday, will start tomorrow’s game. Shane Greene has been pushed back to Sunday and Chase Whitley is in the bullpen. The Yankees are still carrying eight relievers and three bench players, though I think that will change sometime soon. Jeff Francis’ days may be numbered.

Went to the game tonight, Jeter in the field looks about 115, and he cannot do anything with a decent fastball. Statistically hard to see how they do much. But if they ahng around, wonder how it will play out. Can you drop Jeter to 9th in the order and DH him as the year comes to the close because you might be in a pennant race?

I don't see them dropping him down in the order.

Besides they have bigger problems in the lineup than him. Namely the 3 - 9 spots, lol.

The Yankees have bigger problems in their lineup than Jeter. And no they won't drop him in the order.
