Showing your age eh? :wink: Seriously, I will probably buy Madden in PSP, becauseNFL Street is the other alternative and stick with NCAA on my PS2. Madden nis nice but has hardly progressed over the last few years. The funny thing, TECMO seems to have more AI and adapts better then any current game. I played 2 games online and won them both as well as started a franchise and went through the drills. So far this game appears to be slow and lack a creative and realistic football strategy. After some tinkering around in the mini camp to get the feel of things I finally played my first game. As usual, it doesn't feel a whole lot different than the previous game. It seems like the running game is a little easier. The whole passing cone thing wasn't near as bad as I thought it was going to be but it will still take some getting used to. All in all, the game is aight, I'll know more once I've played it for about a month. I'm afraid this is what we have to look foreward too now with EA having exclusive rights to the NFL. I Just like to play in coach mode. Call the plays and watch. Usually though I have to make alot of slider adjustments to get the game to play realisically. Barton: You should check out someplace like Maddenmania.com. They usually have roster updates once the season starts and usually will fix up the great teams of the past and put the proper names and numbers on the players. The hardest things to get used to going from xbox to ps2... the location of the sticks the xbox has a white and black button instead of l2 and r2 the thickness of the xbox controller. the graphics are slightly better on xbox...but that is it...same gameplay. let me know. i havent signed up online on xbox yet.. They have consistantly put out a good product for years IMO. I don't think so. Those games will be on the new consoles, of course they're going to look better. I still remember the difference between playing Madden on the PS1 then getting the PS2. I was blown away. But after that, the game pretty much stayed the same all the way to 2006. So yeah, I expect a much nicer game with the new consoles but I don't expect to see any changes for 10 years after that. That's just EA, I've learned it well over the past 15 years of buying Madden. I dunno if it was because I played my first 06 madden game in the snow that the graphics looked all crappy, but I played another game with no snow just sunshine and the graphics seemed the same to me. The cone thing is ok, but when you zone in on the WR before the snap and the corner jumps the route and the pass rush is coming thru its hard to get the pass off to another WR with accuracy, pain in the butt. I still havent found MY PLAY, yet. Last years madden I had like 5 MONEY plays, I'm still looking for the playbook that has it. The playbooks have changed alot so I hope its still in there somewhere or I am screwed I need that money pass play real bad or I'm just an average player. I love the new feature where you can change up the calls with the offensive line, real good to see. I wish they didnt change the control for the defense, instead of running I keep changing to another player. Just have to get used to it I guess. 1 thing I noticed is when you split the Dline out and put on the outside passrush it is just not effective as it was last year.
