T0mShane
Who is the supercoach that's going to come in and win with this roster? You know they can't/won't play defense on the first unit and they just forced out the most offensive-minded coach in the league. Where do they turn next? JetsFanInDenver
There were rumors in todays newspapers that Carmelo wanted to get traded and did not want D'Antoni to come back after last seasons debacle against the Celtics. And now as if on cue D'Antoni resigns!

But to be brutally honest, the two superstars on this team are sh*tting the bed....and dogging it. Lin was taking the team forward. Ok so he needs to work on a couple of things, but come on....those two superstars at this moment suck....More MSG nonsense

RutgersJetFan
The architect of the current defense? Sloan's interested. Truth be told he'd actually be a fantastic fit. On the Melo tip, he's not a sneaky dude like Karl or D'Antoni was and he doesn't play the chucking game. Tough D and high percentage shots with actual set plays. He'd be able to toughen Lin up and he knows how to run an offense that features the one dominant scorer. Takes zero sh*t, too.

LottsMissingFingerTip
As long as Dolan owns this franchise and hires the suits, the suits will be clowns and hire the coaching staff, who may or may not be incompatent, but a short while after being hired realizes what a joke this franchise is. Then its reflected onto the players who become jerkoffs, if they weren't already...and its a big cycle. Whoevers choice it was to continuously switch defensive assignments after being abused by Paul Pierce after every screen, POINT BLANK needs to be fired. D'Antoni, Wallace, whoever the **** it was. Trade Melo for a solid two pieces, trade Stat for a solid two pieces and call it a year.

Takes zero sh*t, too. Seems like it would be a similar offense to me. Pick and roles on one side of the court and Melo's lazy a$$ on the other waiting to go one on one. Its great to see D'Antoni gone but this team is ****ed. Melo and Stat are worthless and this team will never improve with those lazy ****s on the court. Trade these ****ers or nothing changes. Feel bad for the next HC. Maybe Phil could make something happen but who else? You going to go get Calapari? Billy D? lol. Good luck trying to convince those guys with cush jobs to come try and coach those 2 dumb ****s.

Imo, they definitely need to look into making moves right away. They effectively handed the organization to Melo today, so they may as well build the team the same way the Hawks used to build around Dominique. Chandler, add a rebounding PF, veteran PG and spot-up shooter at 2. Trading Lin should be easy. Dumping Amare, not so much.

Rome was saying today before D'Antoni resigned that some NY publication reported that Melo wanted out by Thurs, Melo tweeted that made him sick to his stomach and an hour later the news broke. Strange.

Strange. I find it hard to believe that Orlando will get back a better package for Dwight than Melo+change. If Dwight goes to the Nets for that pussy Brook Lopez, Knicks fans should storm the Garden.
