gotta think a phone call from Elway gets Harbaugh's attention, anyway.

Sounds plausible. Any coach would have to at least listen to Elways pitch.

OTOH Harbaugh would literally laugh at Woody if he called and then Wood would hire Kubiak who would last 6 mos in the NY media market before having a stroke.

Denver, Rams, Jets and 49ers... even if we did fire Bowles, we're the 2nd least appealing job opening. Could argue worst IF Woody only fires the coach and not the GM, given that SF is likely to hire a pair that wants to work together. Rather than creating an arranged marriage.

didn't this guy almost stroke out when he was with the texans?  imo the health concerns are real.

He did, they are real. The only reason he came back to coaching was Elway, he was otherwise done.

Kyle Shanahan going there is almost a given. He has ties to Elway and the Broncos, and runs the same system as Kubiak, which maintains continuity.

Probably right... but not sure the continuity thing matters as much. They don't have a heavy investment in a star QB. They're in a position where a new system can come with the best candidate and not be disruptive to the QB. Semian isn't the future, Lynch was basically red-shirted.
