BP
Well, let’s go through a list of things that happened in 2010. 1) last ever game in giants stadium, jets beat the bengals to make the playoffs to start their legendary and iconic run of back to back afc championship losses. Some of the greatest losses in football history. Several jets fans still beaming over those losses as the greatest period in jets history. 2)Everybody's beloved MetLife stadium had its inaugural season of being PACKED and LOUD. Still waiting for its first Jets playoff game. 3) @Maxman held a Monday night watch party from JN world headquarters with myself and @TaborJet and the jets did not disappoint, getting blown out. 4) The last year the Jets made the playoffs. Longest streak in sports history and counting. That really is a long time of ineptitude. How some say “let’s be patient” Something is obviously very very wrong with the franchise, and it’s not getting better. It’s getting worse. In 13 years it will be 2036 lol will the Jets make the playoffs by then?
Joe W. Namath
Stud LT in the draft, Tee Higgins and 2 big time free agent olineman in free agency, a healthy Aaron Rodgers. Super Bowl talk in August fellas. No need for the whining.

LIJetsFan
Rex record: (PS I'll take it compared to this) Over his twenty years of coaching his teams compiled a cumulative win/loss record of 164-156-0. During his career he was a head coach for eight seasons, first with the New York Jets. He led the Jets for six seasons, compiling a record of 46-50-0. It was 2009 that the Jets beat the Bengals in the last game at Giants Stadium. 2010 the Jets went 11-5 and made the playoffs as a wild card in the first year of MetLife Stadium. If they don’t it’ll surpass the all time record held by Washington of 25 seasons. And that was before modern football. If the Jets pass 17 seasons that’ll be the modern nfl record currently held by Buffalo and Cleveland. Pretty wild stuff.

They simply don't belong in the danger league as the Dolphins or the Bills. The Jets are not alone in that, bit they are the most laughable. The Jets should not be allowed in the same league, and should play an entire season-long tournament with the other loser teams to prove that they belong in the professional league. Adoni Beast
It's ownership and I don't believe that the Johnsons don't care about winning, they just are the luckiest losers in the history of the world. As an owner the best practices are not to meddle but to define a standard and be able to identify problems. You don't need to be an astute football mind to do so as an owner. You think Robert Kraft knows X's and O's? He knows the difference between how a ring finger feels and an index. But he knows what a well run operation looks like and is ready to pull the plug on a legendary HC because it is simply not been good enough. Yet here we are spinning our wheels with this participation trophy mentality. We have Bowles + Mac 4 years, Rex had 6 years! Herm had 5 but at least there was a playoff appearance the year before his last season. I'm all for continuity and giving people a chance, but this goes beyond just wins and losses. There have been way too many blow outs and the offense which was bad when Saleh took over looks the worst it has in probably league history. The GM has had 5 years and the OL is worse. You can't point to any progress and they've had more than enough time to at least show that. Parcells used to say this about players and it applies to regimes as well "You're either getting better or you're getting worse."

Great fun knocking them out there in the playoffs. Then I was at Heinz Field for the AFCC game. Will be 14 years next month since Jets walked off that field.

playtowinthegame
The old Tampa Bay Yuccaneers from 1983 through 1996 were 64-159 and never made the playoffs during that 14 season stretch. The Yucs were the laughingstock of the NFL during this period of time. Always making NFL Bloopers. The Buccaneers hired Tony Dungy in 1996, and he made the playoffs in his 2nd season as head coach. They went 13 seasons (1983-1995) without making the playoffs, hired Tony Dungy, and made the playoffs in his 2nd season (1997) as head coach. The Jets from 2011 until this present season, which is a 13 season stretch, are currently 75-133. The Jets need to bring in a GM and Coach who can break this pattern of losing and get them back to the playoffs. Running it back with Douglas and Saleh would be insanity. What we've seen in the past 13 seasons is pretty much the equivalent of the Tampa Bay Yuccaneers before they hired Tony Dungy who turned their franchise into a winner.
