Watching the post game on FOX Sports I hate Jeter, can’t stand him, but he’s saying some really smart stuff on here. Just said starting pitching going deep is really important in the playoffs. Corbin Burns welcome to NY Mets 2025. We should have a really nice starting 5 next year:

Corbin Burns, Senga, Manaea, Peterson, Blackburn. That’s very good 👍

bummer... no muscle left in the pen.

Honestly, Diaz needs to be better at locking in his mechanics. Every inning his release point is different. He’s a thrower, not a pitcher. Never knows where his pitches will go… just hopes that they’re somewhere near the strike zone.

Wasted opportunity tonight. Nimmo and Vientos are on fire

Mets closers and post seasons don’t mesh

This sums it up. Wasted opportunity.

Not naive enough to expect to sweep every series from here on out, but against competition like this - you have to step on their throat if you see an opening. The pen stopped attacking, lost composure and voila. 1-1.

Couldn't care any less about the ******* Jets at this point. One more baby let's get it.

The jets are just noise right now..

The house is gonna be rocking  tomorrow... fitting that the Mets actually know what all gas no break looks like.

Tonight is the night to do this. Suarez has been bad in the second half and we got to get him. Don’t want to have to face Wheeler in an elimination game. Get this done.

Agreed. 1) please stop taking our best hitter out for defensive purposes. Vientos makes that play to start the 8th in his sleep.2) no more Maton 3) love that Quintana has the ball today.

If Suarez struggles early at all I think it’s safe to say he’ll bring in Wheeler immediately.

Maton becoming unreliable the last week is such a blow. Stanek seems to live for these moments though, so that alleviates a little bit of it.

I know. With a 6 run lead it took him 23 pitches to get 2 outs. Constantly guys on base. No thanks.
