Jets allowing Reddick to seek a trade

We'll find out, I suppose.

Philadelphia let Reddick seek a trade on February 11th & it took some time before the Jets came in on March 31st with a 3rd rounder 3 draft classes into the future (though in fairness that's well past the trade deadline for 2023, so beyond a handshake no trade could be done until March 13th).

He has less time left on his contract (would theoretically lower the pick in return), but with fewer games left it'd be fewer injury risk games for him.

Also there might be more interest in him now than there was in March for a contender team that badly needs an edge rusher (e.g. Detroit most notably/recently, with Hutchinson's season-ending injury).

Also @jgb did bring up it's at best unclear that the fines would follow him to another team -- the Jets didn't pay him, and fines theoretically should come out of what the Jets paid him (and would come off the Jets' cap); on the other hand the fines are league-mandated. If he is traded, I guess we'll find out.
