Hits Keep Comin’; Aaron Rodgers Limited With Balky Hamstring

Recommended Posts

Aaron Rodgers

Already dealing with an aching ankle and knee, Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers is now going to be limited in practice with a balky hamstring.

The injuries appear to be piling up for the 40-year-old signal caller whose mobility has been reduced to nothing this season as a result.  Trying to come back from a ruptured achilles probably isn’t helping matters a great deal either.

In addition to the news on Rodgers, the Jets have placed offensive lineman Xavier Newman on injured reserve after he was taken off last Sunday on a spine board.  He did travel home with the team.

Safety Jalen Mills who had a strong showing was added to the active roster and tight end Kenny Yeboah will re-join the team at practice.

The team also brought back offensive lineman Alec Lindstrom to their practice squad.

Allow me to predict the future, Rodgers will be benched because of injury. Taylor will start, he will look good for 1 ----maybe 2------drive, and inevitably will get injured for the remainder of the season. Martinez will play and he will be Boyles-kinda-bad, forcing Rodgers to play sooner than needed, he will then aggravate his injury, and everything will unravel.

I’d be shocked if he made it through the season. We tied our entire franchise and our future to a 40 year old QB. I don’t know whether to laugh or cry.

Only 2 QBs at age 40 or over have ever done it. Even if he does.. this is the life of being 40 or over and playing in the NFL. Every week.. everything hurts.

Taylor is a legit upgrade! Rodgers can’t even move out of the pocket right now. He’s so easy to game plan against. It’s actually not even debatable, but nobody in the organization would have the balls to do it. Taylor would give them a better chance to win.

This is comedy. The backup qb is always the favorite at jet nation.

Until that midget actually has to play

I'm not sure he would be.

This offense scheme sucks. It's outdated and easy to game plan against.

The offense is built around outdated concepts and Rodgers being able to sync up telepathically with WRs.

Taylor is an offensive black hole, but he doesn't turn the ball over.
