VEGAS (AP) - Suspended NFL player Adam "Pacman" Jones will face two felony charges in a strip club melee that preceded a triple shooting in February, Las Vegas police and the Clark County District Attorney's office said Wednesday. Two other people previously identified by police as friends of the troubled Tennessee cornerback also will face felony charges in the fracas inside the Minxx club, police said in a statement. Since Jones was drafted by the Titans in April 2005, police have interviewed him in 10 separate incidents. He has been arrested five times; he hasn't been convicted of any crimes.

Jones was being sought by police this week for questioning about a shooting early Monday involving members of his entourage after a fight at an Atlanta strip club.

No one is named in the Las Vegas shooting that occurred later outside the club and left a bar employee paralyzed and two others with minor injuries, police Capt. James Dillon said. Warrants were issued for the arrests of Jones, Robert Reid of Carson, Calif., and Sadia Morrison of New York, Dillon said.

The 23-year-old Jones, of Franklin, Tenn., faces two counts of felony coercion stemming from allegations he threatened to kill club employees and bit a bar bouncer on the ankle, according to a criminal complaint filed in Clark County District Court. The 37-year-old Reid faces one felony coercion charge alleging he attacked a bouncer who tried to restrain Jones. The 24-year-old Morrison faces charges including felony assault with a deadly weapon and battery stemming from allegations that she hit the bouncer in the head with a bottle and attacked several other club employees with a chair.

Coercion is the act of threatening or physically interfering with a person trying to do something that he or she has a right and responsibility to do.The charges are slightly different from those police sought in March against Jones, Reid and Morrison. Clark County District Attorney David Roger declined to file those charges, asking police for more information and to identify a shooter. "The investigation continued and additional evidence was gathered, that's why it's different," Dillon said. "These are complicated acts and charges. We've worked closely with the district attorney."

A Las Vegas lawyer representing the three was expected to contact police to arrange their surrender, an aide to Roger said. The lawyer, Robert Langford, did not immediately respond to messages seeking comment. Police said the Feb. 19 fracas broke out inside the club, Minxx, several blocks off the Las Vegas Strip when dancers on stage were showered with thousands of dollar bills near the end of NBA All-Star weekend.

Completely football related post.

I loved watching this guy on the field.

He won me over during that Giants game.

No-one ever said the guy can't play ball, and that's the tragedy of it. Unfortunately, he is doing everything possible to go out in a body bag. And, if he does, he'll be lionized, like he did something admirable.

Chances are he does no jail time, but winds up like "Maurice Clarett" - in a manner of speaking. Sometimes you have to bring the gavel down on idiocy. And Pacman Jones is an idiot of the highest order.

Wednesday's charges came two days after Jones reportedly was questioned by police for a shooting at an Atlanta strip club. The alleged incident occurred early Monday at Club Blaze in DeKalb County, where members of Jones' entourage got into an argument with three other men at 4:16 a.m. EDT.

According to police, the incident at Minxx started when two dancers - one allegedly a friend of Jones - were showered with hundreds of dollars in bills.

Jones allegedly grabbed the hair of one of the dancers and punched her two or three times in the face, police said.

Aaron Cudworth, a bouncer at the club, interceded and attempted to escort Jones out the door. But Jones jumped back onto the stage and allegedly threatened to kill the bouncer.

"Matter of fact, all yous are gonna get it," Jones said, according to the police report.

Jones then allegedly took a swing at Cudworth, who put him in an arm bar. Jones responded by allegedly biting the bouncer on the ankle.

Morrison got involved, allegedly hitting Cudworth in the head with a bottle of champagne. She was escorted from the club but soon returned with a stanchion, holding it like a battering ram, police said, before she was thrown out the door.

Cudworth finally escorted Jones outside, where the cornerback said he would shoot him, police said. Members of Jones' entourage, including one described as a black male with a black baggy T-shirt and blue jeans, also allegedly threatened Cudworth, telling him he was "dead" and they were going to "smoke" him, police said.

The bouncer initially retreated inside the club before being called via radio to help out after several altercations had broken out outside the club.

Shortly thereafter, as Cudworth walked back toward the building, the male in the baggy T-shirt and jeans produced a semi-automatic handgun and allegedly fired five to six shots at the bouncer, police said. He was shot in the chest and left forearm.

Club manager Thomas Urbanski was shot twice, in the left hand and left side under his arm, leaving him paralyzed. Natalie Jones, a patron who was leaving the building, was shot in the left side of the head, police said.

This is nothing new. All these charges were out there already. I'm sure Goodell considered all this when he handed down the suspension. The main issue is that this shows that the DA and police took the claims seriously and they probably were not just the ramblings of the scumbag club owner who was spouting all this **** to begin with. For people that were complaining since the strip club incident this really does not constitute any new info.

Well, it is NEW as far as Goodall is concerned. What was before allegations and possibilities is now officially and legally a felony charge.

I think this guarantees no coming back after 10th game,, which is great, cause now this thug-turd will MISS 100% of his 2007 salary,,

tough to support a entourage on zero cash flow.

I don't think they can have it both ways.

Did they suspend him for illegal activities? AFAIK, he's never been convicted of anything and his only real guaranteed adjudicated infraction was failing to inform the league of a subsequent arrest. In that case I think he was railroaded by the system.

Or did they suspend him for his actions? If they did, they had to include the strip club incident because they didn't make the move to suspend him until right after the incident and nothing else happened in the interim. In that case, this is nothing new - since they had to have considered the evidence and reports that they had at the time which all included this. If they charge him in the shooting then it would be something new, but biting the ankle and punching the stripper are old news. Though it certainly backs the league up for the suspension by legitimizing the charges.

Titans feel Jones doesn't care about teammates, QB Young says

June 21, 2007

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- If Vince Young is any indication, cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones may have used up the patience of his Tennessee Titans

Young was asked during a minicamp session Thursday if he was concerned about Jones, who's been told to turn himself in to Las Vegas authorities to face two felony charges.

"We love him a whole lot, but we feel like he don't care about us right now," Young said.

The quarterback said he hasn't talked to Jones, but echoed Jeff Fisher's comments that the charges are Jones' issue to handle.

Atlanta police have said they also want to question Jones as a witness to a shooting after a strip club fight on Monday morning.

Jones was suspended for the 2007 season in April by NFL commissioner Roger Goodell. The pending charges in Las Vegas from a Feb. 19 fight at a strip club and triple-shooting that left a man paralyzed likely mean he won't be allowed an early return after the Titans' 10th game.

"He's got to stay out of trouble and watch his back out there," Young said.

The Titans signed cornerback Nick Harper away from Indianapolis in March and signed veteran Kelly Herndon last week after his release by Seattle to help fill the void in the secondary left by Jones' suspension. teammates.

Good to see Young being a true team leader & not taking the "well we don't have all the facts yet; just accusations & he hasn't been convicted of anything blah blah blah" road. Good for him.
