Number of QB hits against the Colts last year: 44 (tied for 1st)

Number of QB hits against Mr Bunschen: 70 (ranked 13th)

Go ahead and give me whatever stats you want that you think prove your point about why New England's line is supposedly better than that of Indianapolis. Indy QBs took a lot less hits which means that either the line of Indy is that much better or that Indy QBs can get rid of the ball a lot faster than Brady.

Whichever one is the case, this means that New England (even last year) could not spread out the Jets like Indy did (reason New England won last year was because of Sanchez's interceptions and a 100% Welker). Assuming both of those cases are going to happen this year is foolish. Not taking into account that the Jets not only improved after that debacle (and New England regressed) but that the Jets on paper seem to have significantly improved, is just plain delusional.

And how many of those hits came when Manning was taken out of the game? In half a ballgame I know we hit an overwhelmed Curtis Painter a bunch of times. I didn't see his game against Buffalo, but given his numbers (4 of 17, 39 yds, 0 TD, 1 INT) he probably got roughed up a little. Wouldn't surprise me if 10 of those 44 hits came in two half-games against Painter.

Even a great OL will look lousy if they're blocking for a QB who doesn't sense when the pass rush is on top of him.

moss, welker, tory holt, edelman, your new TE... passing game won't be the problem. no running game is what's killing you guys.

You mean our 12th ranked running game? :bag:

You are right. Their offense is a love/hate relationship. You love it when it works, but hate it when it does not. They lost their smash you in the mouth edge.

I hope the drafting of TEs signals a shift in offensive philosophy. I doubt it.

Your team got absolutely humiliated in the playoffs.

And?

You are a Jets' fan right?

When in the history of the Jets has previous playoff seasons meant jack and $hit that next season?

Running around in shorts and a helmut is much different than having guys jacking you up across the middle.

He'll think twice about digging that leg into the turf again and making those sudden cuts he's always used to.

Yeah, game situations are way different that running around in shorts with German guys.

So because that happened in the past it automatically means the same thing is going to happen this year?

Sorry but the world doesn't work like that. If it did, the Pats would still be sitting out there with no championships to show for the their 50 years of existence because prior to 2001 all they had was a couple of Super Bowl embarrassments to their credit.

The patriots KILLED the jets the last time they played...but just pretend like thats not true.

Let's pretend the Ravens didn't abolutely **** all over the Pats in their own building last January while the Jets went on the road and won two playoff games.

Lets pretend your aunt has balls and call her your uncle.

Lets pretend like your team didnt get a free pass into the playoffs..lets pretend like your qb doesn suck, and while we are at it, lets pretend like he threw 20 td and 12 ints..lets pretend like the LT isnt done, lets just keep playing make belive.

And JN questioning the Patriot Nation in 2002 were absolutely correct. The 2001 Patriots had not proven anything other then they were the best team from November through February. Then they had to do it again.

The Jets had a good season.

Now, they have to do it again. It is one thing to get to the AFC Championship game with no expectations. It is another to do it with expectations.

Too many 'one-hit' wonder teams in all sports that fall victim the disease of more.

Rex will show his worth more this year. Mangini got everyone moving in one direction and then failed at sustaining that success. Now Rex has to sustain it.

That's fine and good. But if the Jets fail to reach the playoffs it won't have anything to do with the previous times it happened.
