NFL Power Rankings Week 10

Jets arnen't even the best team in New York, let alone the 3rd best team in the NFL.

Just sayin'

That's certainly debatable, they have the same record and the Jets play in the AFC while the Giants are in the NFC. And if you haven't noticed, AFC >>>>>>>>>>> NFC this year. Meanwhile, the Giants are 1-2 against the AFC.

What team have the Giants beaten that's worth a damn?

You can't be serious?

Giants are a much better team than the Jets.

The answer is no one.

They got beaten soundly by Indy and Tennessee early. Houston was probably their toughest opponent in a win. Detroit played them in the Meadowlands, and they won that one in close 28-20 fashion (for reference).

They still have to play Philly and Washington twice each. We'll have a better idea of what they're all about then.

Really, there is no arguement whatsoever.

Exactly, the fact is that they've played two good teams and got the crap kicked out of them in both games, losing by 24 and 19 points. As you said, the closest thing to a win against a good team would be the Texans. Sure they've looked good the past few weeks, but I'm not buying into the hype until they do it against someone worth a damn.

And the Jets lucked out against the 2-6 Broncos and the 2-6 Lions.

Against 2 good teams (Ravens & Packers), the Jets got their a$$ handed to them.

Jets are still the 2nd best football team in New York.

Who's the best team in the AFC East?

Are you really 50 years old? I can't for the life of me believe that a 50 year old man gets his jollies by trying to rile up fans of his favorite team's rival.

Your skewed, exaggerated summaries don't change the fact that the Jets are in first place in the AFCe, you sad, pathetic, old man.

Ahh yes, the good old 10-9 asswhooping and the 9-0 asswhooping.

And I guess, by you leaving out that the Jets beat up on your Pats*, that you dont believe that the Jets have a quality win this year. Got ya...

Ah, the old "we only lost by a few points" excuse.

Dude, the Jets played two good teams and and lost both games.

If the Jets somehow make it to the playoffs, you can be assured they won't be playing bottom-feeding teams like the Broncos and Lions.

So to recap:

(1) A one point loss now equates to a team getting it's a$$ handed to them,

(2) Driving down for 3 scores in a few minute span is "luck", as is holding the opposition to 3 and outs in the interim,

(3) An open receiver being interfered with is "luck", as is stopping the opposing team on their ensuing drive to preserve the win, and

(4) The Patriots do not qualify as a "good team".

Did I miss anything?

I am glad we cleared up that the Pats* are not a good team. We can move on now.

That is correct. And when the Pats lose to the Cleveland Browns 34-14, they merely got beat by a good team. No shame in that.

Try to keep up.

You can't read the standings?

There are 2 teams sitting at 6-2.

The standings have the Jets in first place, and the Patsies in second. Can't you read the standings?

I think it has something to do with the Jets 3-0 record in the division, or the fact that only one of their losses is within the conference.

Or maybe it's because the NFL statisticians count games that took place in week two, even if you prefer to dismiss that week.

Who cares whether the Jets, Giants, or Pats are ranked higher in any sportswriter's listing?

The only thing that matters at all is who will still be playing come February. We don't know that yet (won't until some time near the end of January) but I can tell you now that the Cleveland Browns won't be one of those teams. Having said that, the Jets better not take the Browns lightly, or it will be another AFC loss.

What happened when those two 6-2 AFC East teams played each other?
