Blackout
great short term pickup for Philly. the next 3-4 years he should be solid. huge loss for Texas, and while I wanted him I'm sure a lot of Yankee fans will be relieved that we aren't throwing 7 years at a 30 something pitcher

KR_Parks
"agreeing to a contract with Cliff Lee for what is believed to be substantially less than the New York Yankees or Texas Rangers offered, multiple major-league sources confirmed to FOXSports.com." - http://msn.foxsports.com/mlb/story/Sources-Cliff-Lee-agrees-with-Philadelphia-121310 It'll be amazing if king dollar doesn't win out. If this is true, awesome, hope it works out.

KR_Parks
hes getting 5 years, 100 million far from being poor Rich man, poor man, doesn't matter. No one turns down 38 million for no reason. "New York's last offer to Lee was a six-year, $138 million proposal with a player option for the seventh year, a source told Olney. Texas' best offer, according to reports, topped out at six years and more than $20 million annually." http://sports.espn.go.com/newyork/mlb/news/story?id=5917145 Let's not forget the lack of income tax in Texas. I'm no Phillies fan, but something other than money seems to have motivated this.
Greenranger
Halladay, Lee, Oswalt, and Hamels. That is going to be a nasty rotation.
SenorGato
5 years/120 million are the numbers... Last thing I expected to see...this is pretty f'ing hilarious...Phillies rotation has some all time type potential now: Halladay Lee Oswalt Hamels Blanton What a shocker. What. A. Shocker. AFJF
Halladay, Lee, Oswalt, and Hamels. That is going to be a nasty rotation. They should win at least three rings with that rotation.

CrazyCarl40
The Phillies should be the odds on favorite to win the NL, even after losing Werth. Is Joe Blanton their 5th starter? Unreal. As for the Yankees. CC and pray for rain! HA!

Blackout
old news but yes this is true. they better hope Howard and Utley stay healthy though because that lineup will suck monkey dick without them

Hell, even if you want to knock Oswalt to mere #2 status at this point in his career this rotation as a legit chance to do some special things.
