New Orleans facing lineup change at FS

Gameday inactives for the Saints-Seahawks matchup have been released.

For New Orleans safeties Malcolm Jenkins and Matt Giordano, RB Joique Bell, LB Danny Clark, DL Anthony Hargrove, T Charles Brown, TE Jimmy Graham and WR Adrian Arrington are inactive.

Both Darren Sharper and Usama Young have extensive experience at free safety. Jo-Lonn Dunbar has started eight games at strongside linebacker this year.

For Seattle, Tulane Alum J.P. Losman is the third quarterback and CB Josh Pinkard, CB Marcus Brown, LB Joe Pawlek, G Lemuel Jeanpierre, G Paul Fanaika, T Breno Giacomini and DT Amon Gordon are inactive.

On the roster, but inactive

Guard Lemuel Jeanpierre and cornerback Josh Pinkard were signed to the 53-man roster from the practice squad Friday, but they are inactive for today’s game against the Saints.

Also inactive:

CB Marcus Brown

LB Joe Pawelek

OG Paul Fanaika

OT Breno Giacomini

DT Amon Gordon

3rd QB: J.P. Losman

Jenkins, Clark inactive for Saints

Saints free safety Malcolm Jenkins was ruled out for today’s game on Friday, so veteran Darren Sharper will start against the Seahawks in the wild-card playoff game at Qwest Field. The Saints also will be without strong-side linebacker Danny Clark, so Jo-Lonn Dunbar will start.

Also inactive for the Saints:

S Matt Giordano

RB Joique Bell

DL Anthony Hargrove

OT Charles Brown

TE Jimmy Graham

WR Adrian Arrington

These announcers are awful.

Twice already he has referred to Brees as Brady.

Then, after the Saints score, he says the pressure is now squarely on Hasselbeck and the Saints.

Remember the game Paperboy? Seattle would need that kind of homefield advantage to win this game. Like, every time Brees drops back to pass, you throw bananas at his feet and Bush takes a hand off you let a few punk kids skateboard in front of him. Maybe a couple construction workers "working" in the endzone to limit the amount of space you have to defend. Perhaps throw down a few oil slicks in key spots on the field, location known only to the Seahawks.

Why? Hasselback just led them to another touchdown drive to put the game back within 3 yet again. Close game, lots of scoring! 17-14 Saints right now.

With how the Hawks started off, they just looked terrible. Didn't think they would bounce back...

This game is better than I thought. Interesting,

Go Seabirds. Enough with the Katrina sh*t and the Superbowl bringing the city together sh*t.

Agree... they have exhausted that story so much. Its ironic really, sports media almost never tells the encouraging "good" story (obviously focusing more on negative crap constantly) but in this case, they just keep telling that same "good" story over and over and over and over.... blech, its reached the point where its lost its meaning and people just don't care to hear it anymore.
